Ok, it looks like I won't need it after all :-) Any one want a little giggle? As part of Monarch's defense they demanded I prove I was on the plane. So, I diligently sent off a subject access request and was asked for £10 for my information ( which I planned to ask the judge to add to my award when I win) and I quickly received a copy of all the information they hold on me except the passenger manifest. I put a quick call into one of the senior group lawyers who very quickly realised what idiots they are making of themselves and has since confirmed in writing that they now acknowledge I was on the plane and will refund my £10. This is all highly amusing and I can't wait for the hearing, should be a great day out :-)))

I know - it's pathetic. They have put me to "strict proof" that I was on the flight, despite the fact that I have the original booking iternary, plus an unsolicited letter sent to me several days later apologising for the delay. Jokers.

Aside from the boarding card, 'strict proof' of being on the flight, if taken literally ie 'beyond reasonable doubt', would be hard to prove really. From a documents POV I mean.
I'm going to take a picture of myself on delayed flights from now on :rotfl:

Yeah - but how do we know you're not going to photoshop it? I think you'll need signed affidavits from all of the cabin crew too.

ZB517 from Barcelona to Manchester 10th May 2013 - over 5 hours delay due to a technical fault. Got a letter at check in to say the flight would be operated by Thomson so as to minimise disruption - the expected 3 hour delay turned into almost 5 and a half!! Just about to lodge all my paperwork with Monarch today, let's see how it goes...armed with all my ammunition from reading the forum, fingers crossed I don't need it.

    Anyone else on this flight?

If the flight was operated by Thomson, they are the people you will need to claim against (even though you booked a ticket with Monarch).
