Claim denied Extraordinary circumstances. Rudder problems. No response from CAA after 7 weeks so have filed small claims court. Awaiting reference number and hearing date. Also have posted details on a different forum for Dates details of court hearings which has recently been started. Perhaps everybody that has lodged a small courts claim could add to the list, which will show how long it takes any decisions.0

Flight MON302 Sanford to Manchester 17th of June 2011. Claim denied to to extraordinary circumstances claiming: 'Our records show that on 'push back' of the outbound flight the aircraft scheduled to operate your flight was declared unserviceable, therefore unsafe to fly by our engineers due to a door sensor which meant the crew exceeded their legal duty hours.
Please add this to the list.0 -

Hi,
I am new to the site, just wondering what to do if flight information cannot be found on the flight stat website, we flew to Corfu on 25th May 2009 from Manchester airport and had a delay of about 6 1/2 hours. When i looked on the website to find the flight number there is no record of the flight.

Flight ZB655 Malaga to Manchester. I had a four hour delay from Malaga to Manchester in may 2012 - thirteen people in our party with a handicapped young man (my son), wrote to monarch and filled in THIRTEEN separate claims forms and recd letter back saying plane delayed due to someone having a heart attack and plane being diverted hence delay - fair enough but when I checked with airport - no diversion on the flight had been recorded - wrote back telling them this and my reply back was stated as a different date and different excuse - problem with hydraulic leakin the airframe above cargo door. Think I am now at the point where I want to give up but don't really want them to get away with it.0

the fact that monarch lied is making me think I should carry this through - they lied about the first delay being a heart attack and the second time quoted a date as july 2012 and not may 2012.:mad:0

To be fair to Monarch, they could be incompetent rather than dishonest. Though I accept that it's not mutually exclusive.
Take them to court - they've already damaged their credibility.0
