I can log in but not post. I haven't tried to for months anyway but it just reverted to a blank screen before. I thought it was a glitch until I realised what they'd done.

I responded to a post RB made advising people to buy gold. I said that based on the accuracy of his advice about house prices I'd better go and sell every gold item I owned rather than rely on his useless advice.

To be fair to him he took it well, his position was untenable by that point anyway as he'd already admitted he was looking to buy. It made some other members very angry indeed though.

I then challenged Bruce Banner on his complete innumeracy, and pointed out to the tulip person that he was a sad bitter man whose desire for mass unemployment of others was pathetic.

It made them both very angry, and then I couldnt post anymore.

Edit: Oh I also responded to a thread some Welsh woman had made where she was very proud of herself because she'd made the Saturday girl in her EA cry when she was in the officer on her own. I think I said she was a bitter tragic excuse for a human being with a reduced mental age.

    It made her pretty angry.

I really don't understand the interest in the HPC website now (maybe there isn't any real interest and their time has passed and everyone else can see it apart from the odd fool left over there). I can see why it would have been of interest to some around 2005 onwards, but that time has passed now. We have had the 'crash' 'adjustment', whatever you choose to call it and it wasn't anywhere near as bad as they predicted, they got it wrong, they should accept that and move on. Although we are still in tough economic times with a few more years to go, its fairly obvious that there isn't going to be much more happening than minor falls or stagnation until we recover.

I didn't realise that a financial crisis could be resolved so easily with no pain.

There has been plenty of pain! Although thankfully not for me personally, have you been alseep for a few years? You certainly haven't been paying attention if you think that there has been no pain.

The economy has been in trouble for about 5 years and I said a few more years to go, so where on earth do you get 'resolved so easily' from? That would be getting on for at least 8 years by the time that we start getting out of this.

    I reckon 10 years, so it'll finish on the 9th August 2017 :D

I agree with your sentiment on HPC and the past 5 years(generally) although I think this is a recession wrapped up in cottonwool because I have seen very little pain, I still think that is to come.

The question I would ask(and have asked with no reply from any of my critics:)), how on earth do some on here think we are going to get a "Rocketing property market" with no sign of growth to be seen.

I stick by my Bearish prediction with an ear always listening for an argument that will prove me wrong, and I am sure there are some(just not heard many on here). But no growth no house price inflation, and the very best I think we will get flat prices(or close to) for quite a few years yet with real prices falling, AT BEST!!.

This is only my opinion I am not trying to dress it as facts. I don't think we will get a rocketing property market, the best I can see is probably 2-3 times inflation but only after a few years below inflation. So overall going forward from now for the next say 5-6 years not (on average) exceeding inflation. Beyond 5-6 years there may be some larger increases but not many years later they will fall again.

EDIT: How have you not seen any pain with so many businesses going under?
