Thanks Demented Weasel, doh! I've requested its removal.
Basfordlad - I meant that the letter was better than I thought it would be, I agree it is still pretty poor though.
I will continue to ignore. I am concerned because they do seem arrogant enough to pursue, especially since they have paid the DVLA for my details.
The thread started by davepolo is interesting, he seems to be a little further down the threat-o-gram chain.
Thanks all

What on earth is he going to take you to court for?
He was parked in his own parking space me'lud, a heinous villain and we have massive losses of exactly £0.000 -
"I find for the claimant, a sum of £100 damages. Presumably you are going to pass this sum onto the occupier of the land? Who might that be?"

They will eventually give up on you when it sinks in that you are not falling for their scam.
Plenty of other potentially gullible victims for them to hassle than to waste too much time and effort on you.The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]

            Update for anyone interested.
I have just received my "Final Demand", now up to £140!
Another person on the PepiPoo boards posted a scan of the same letter they received.

...and like many people on there, the linked poster (not Skintfish) has been discriminated against, it's a breach of the Equality Act 2012 to harass a disabled person.
Wholly unreasonable for a private company to demand to see 'both parts' of a Blue Badge when the Blue Badge scheme is not even applicable, is just being USED as one of several possible indicators of disability. A disabled tax disc alone, or similar visible note, is easily 'sufficient' if the person chooses to show that they can park there (and they don't have to prove the need, just makes life easier when scumbags like ANPR are crawling around).
He could have parked there with a 'Blue Peter Badge' on the dashboard and he would still have been legally entitled to use a private disabled bay!
Poor old Trev Whitehouse doesn't understand the law...
Thanks for the update, Skintfish.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good advice! Then he could have seen it quashed by using one of the Blue Peter Appeals.

            Another update.
I have now received the following letter:
NOTICE OF INTENT
REFERENCE NUMBER: xxxx
REGISTRATION NUMBER: xxxx
DATE OF OFFENCE: xxxx
Owing to ANPR Ltd. £140
This debt is now being sold.
The appropriate purchaser will seek a court order instigating the recovery of this debt.
Payment cannot be made to ANPR Ltd. directly.
If however your payment is in the post please notify us IMMEDIATELY to prevent further costs. If you are unsure you can visit w w w . carfines . c o m
My only concern is that the general thinking now (on this board and PepiPoo) seems to be swaying towards appealing rather than simply ignoring. And I've obviously missed the chance to do that now...
Anyway just an update for those interested.0 -
They can't do court, only the originator can issue a claim, as that is the landowner you'll be waiting a long time for a claim, just ignore them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
