In my Asda local (ex Netto) this morning the boxes of Maynards wine gums, 540g box, date 12.12.13, were £1.

Still £4 in my Asda store.

    Morning all
Thank for the piccies neosi I couldn't believe what I was seeing at first.
Welcome Dipdab, read the first page as it answers a lot of questions and it won't take you long to get up to speed.

Question to those of you who have a freezer in your garden shed
My dd got a freezer and put it in her garden shed, it is full up with woopies etc, I've taught her well:D but the outside of the freezer is running with water, is this normal? She is worried about it rotting the floor, I thought it might just be condensation as it's been cold recently.
    Would apprecite your thoughts. :)

Hiya hun, have a read , found this on Mse.....where else! If you Google freezers in sheds there is lots of info out there.

    and this

I've got 2 freezers in my garage, a chest and an upright and get a bit of condensation on the upright, a Hotpoint, but none on the chest freezer, a Beko. It's this one, bought specifically to run in the garage

My old chest freezer was really bad for condensation, and grew black mould on the outside eeewwww! Used to clean it regularly with bleach, but it still came back. That's why I looked for one like the Beko.
Someone told me that they used a greenhouse heater in their shed that housed their freezer and it helped.

This person wasnt me, but we fitted one nov/dec time in our shed and it does seem better and they only cost pennies to run.

Saversue that is true about guarentte (sp) because my washing machine is also there and we had only had it about 8 weeks when it froze and cracked a part, yet beko would not do it under guarenttee as said it was not designed to be in there,(yet currys knew where it was going and never told us this!) yet we had a zanussi w/machine in there for 6 years and never had a problem, i will never buy beko again as about 6months later the pump went although they did fix this

    Here's how it works

    009-2_zpsb54da9ce.jpg

The paxo that is 37p is only the variety above where it says 37p, in the middle of the sel it has other varieties that are in the 2 for £2.50 deal.

In my store they usually have the wrong ones above the cheap sel
    Done on purpose ?

I wouldn't say it makes me mad when I see a special offer label underneath a diff. product. They seem to do this all the time in another (non-Tosco) store. (I don't think it's necessarily deliberate: they probably often run out of the product on offer and simply move another size to fill the space left behind.) Usually you'll find the packs half the size which are twice as expensive, above the price reduction label.

This indicates exactly why we should all be using MSM, getting the cheapest item immediately seen by putting the products in order from low to high prices per unit on the website and then making sure we are buying the correct products in store e.g. by looking at the weight on the product itself and not the location of the SEL.

In addition, virtually every other shop I find an item on shelf that scans at a cheaper price than the one shown on the SEL. The price it scans at is the correct expected one from online info. You can't do your shopping from the in-store SEL prices as you're comparing incorrect information, and within one chain only, and can't see that one variety is on half price, or several pence lower, that isn't marked on the shelf.

Nor do you have competitor's prices, behind each product, to know what to buy for a PP/BM/10% cheaper APG and ensure you're getting the best value you can. This can only be worked out online before you go to the store, and - at least with me - I find it cuts down significantly the time spent in store trying to compare on different shelves - and not necessarily with correct pricing info. - as I go straight to the right product instead, straight from my list.

(Sometimes I'm faffing around trying to find a product I haven't bought before, but much of the time it's taking me less time - to go straight to the right size and version - and not having to perform mental calculations or waste time messing about with a calculator that seems to reset itself if I'm rushing around in store.)

I am half wanting to go out and check out the tuna (the cats' stocks are getting low) but I am half dithering about, just hoping something mega glitches (and its blooming cold out there) - it needs to be worth my while going out :)
