  • My freezer is in the shed. When it's cold, my freezer is exactly the same. I just presumed it was condensation. It seems to clear up when it's not so cold. To be honest, I've never thought about it rotting the floor. I'm sure it's not enough water to affect the floor too much....I hope. Still, I've got no where else to put mine so it's tough really!

Thanks, it's good to know someone else has the same problem

In my Express this morning, the wotsits and french fries were back to full price.

The bag of Lindor christmas balls (100 g) were reduced to 50p (they were £2 yesterday).

Forgot to check on the Tuna, which is what I went for in the first place. Someone reported 4 cans of John West tuna in brine scanning for £2.07 in an Express, but not sure if this is store specific.

Just popping in real quick only read back few posts but thought better add it is the OLD size 185g x 4 packs that are scanning £2.07 if you can find them. The new 160g x 4 packs are £3.99. HTHs

Afternoon everyone. I spent my T £5 moneycard wisely - new shopping bill came to exactly £5 and not a penny more. I bought some more potatoes - same price as A but A's version appears to be red potatoes which I'm not fond of. The T Value Wholemeal bread does compare to A's SP Brown Bread. The cabbage seems to me a bit larger than the ones in A!

The PP gave £1.73 back (for once, those A's 50p rollbacks were useful) - so probably some more potatoes next time plus something for 74p. However, the green CC points didn't appear to be included - so I'll be back onto T CS later. The receipt said the total included 3 green points (perhaps they're from my earlier shop, I've not checked yet) but said points this visit 5.

    Your Price Promise Results

Sorry, this time your comparable shopping would have been £1.73 cheaper elsewhere, so we've given you a voucher for the difference*. Thank you and see you again soon.

    Hi ya,
Cheeky question but do you mind if I join you?
I've been 'stalking (for want of a better word ) your sparkly Christmas thread for a couple of weeks and wanted to possibly join earlier.
Only just realised I've been browsing all this time as any unregistered member hence me being a brand new user.
So if it's OK can I maybe stay?
Would love to have people to chat to :)

 Hiya dipdap welcome to the nutty club ;)
  • Welcome dipdab, everyone is so lovely on here, and it's not just about bargains and deals, we are here to listen too. I've only been on here a few months but I can honestly not believe how much I have saved with everyone's help. I now have a stash room and loads put away for birthdays and xmas! Oh and we love our animals on here too!

Went to pick up my cosy socks today (oooo so pleased) from M&S and happened to walk through sale area where everything seems to have been knocked right down - picked up nice xmas cards £5 to £1.25, silk ties for DH £16 to £5 and mittens for my kittens £25 to £5 plus stocking fillers. When I got to the till these prices came up as they hadn't had time to mark them down again....

Then went onto Clintons where all xmas stuff is 75% off it seems - picked up posh Papyrus cards for a quarter of the price and they had loads of personalised mens socks for £1.24 instead of £5 - not just names but dad, grandad, boss, etc, ideal for fathers day or birthday!

Noticed my local Sainsbobs have another 2 cages ready to be put out this morning - all boxes market up "Jan sale" ooooo
I like glitching, I like glitching, I like glitching and I like to glitch.....................:j:j:j

When I got my freezer for the garage I was told that hardly any of them are suitable for garages or outhouses because they are designed to work at above something like 5 or 10 degrees external temperature and if it is lower than that will create lots of condensation, cause them to break down are not covered by the guarantee.
There should be something printed on the freezer, often hidden away on the back that tells you what the ambient working temperature should be.
When I got mine the only one suitable for outside main house was a Beko - made them check everyone in the shop - but I didn't like it.

Bought a different one, from somewhere else as didn't want the sales assistant knowing where it was being put, but was constantly worried that if broke down while under guarantee would not be covered as no way could I move it inside and pretend it lived in the house !!!:rotfl:

As they say ignorance is bliss, but I have a nasty OCD habit of needing to investigate every possible angle before I can make a big purchase and have to check everything out - it must drive the poor sales assistances mad ;)

Thank you both for your replies it has put mine and dd's mind at rest. As you say Saversue, there is nowhere else it can go :)

    Here's how it works

The paxo that is 37p is only the variety above where it says 37p, in the middle of the sel it has other varieties that are in the 2 for £2.50 deal.

In my store they usually have the wrong ones above the cheap sel
    Done on purpose ?
