Been feeling pretty rubbish lately so not been about much. Will need a satnav to find my way to a supermarket at this rate!!!
Anyway decided to snatch the camera off the side today and head for my birdies! They were hungry and cold so all too willing to come and say hello.
I might post one or two more up later but heres one I'm sure you will like.0 -

I've got one of those Royal Mail "parcel too big for your letterbox" red cards through the door, so I have to go to the depot to collect it. Now, I am hoping it is a winter-proof your home kit which I won on the radio recently.
However, I have a funny feeling that I'll get down to the depot and it will be a jar of jerk chicken rub that I won from the vending machine.NO MORE HANDWASH GLITCHES PLEASE:D

Silvercar, the traction control is to stop the wheels from spinning, you should not switch it off !
When one wheel starts to spin, the TC kicks in, takes the power from the wheel that's spinning and transfers it to the other wheels that are not spinning hence correcting loss of traction.Apparently if your wheels start spinning it means the car is trying to hard to grip and turning the traction off gives more chance that the car will move on. :shrugs: I'm female, what do I know other than it works.
Who taught you this ?
Wonders if this action would work against you in an insurance claim ?
That is what was on the Juke owners club forum. It does work, the wheel was spinning on my drive today and I turned the traction off and the car moved off OK. As soon as it moved Ok I put the traction back on.
I thought the explanation was that in mud or stuff you want extra grip so leave the traction on, but in snow you don't want to grip tightly. As I say non= mechanically minded female here, I just do what works.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Can't make my mind up. Do I go to Sada or not? Not sure if it is worth risking with this snow!
Yes it's worth it as its too cold for the trolley men! Not a single one to be seen at my Sada and as a result I found more wombles than I would normally find in a week :j will post later if there's anything interesting as I haven't checked them yet0 -
Hi LaaCaz
Is it possible that by obscuring the door with so many signs, you are putting people off coming in.
Maybe just have one clear sign. Or better still, remember that not everyone wants to rob you and go back to having the door unlocked?
It is very difficult to overcome that feeling of fear and anxiousness, but it is worth trying.
Shops need to feel welcoming and easy to use - don't forget that humans are quite lazy as a race and if it is easier to move on to the next shop then we will.
Sorry if that sounds like I have trivialised your ordeal, I don't mean that at all. I just tend to work on the principle that not every dog in the world wants to bite me, so I shouldn't be afraid of dogs just because one bit me years ago. Not every customer wants to harm you or rob you
Thank you for your reply
Part of me wishes I could go back to the way I was before but this area is going really down hill and several other shops have had to start installing buzzers on their doors too.I had to do something as I suffer with anxiety, panic attacks and depression so this was the only way I could come back to work.
Our business has actually improved since doing this (not sure if it is that the customers feel safer or that it has increased their sympathy and rapport with me). Also the nature of our business is not for under 18's and so this has aided with keeping unwanted teenagers away.
I've removed the bottom sign from the door as I think that you are right and probably 'overloads' with information so some people may not bother to read any of it.
To be honest, I think I just get a bit  sometimes, but it wears off after a whileCoupons = the only money we can legally print for ourselves:D
:j A coupon for a free item that is price glitched in Mr T's to be cheaper than Sada for an apg = HEAVEN :j
:money: total = £47.48 cc = 413 selling stuff = £23.00 Floor pennies = £5.790 -
Hugs for (((((logie))))).
Loving the cleaning tips again today. When I was a student I used to help my friend clean a couple of offices, often before we went clubbing out to our 60s mod club.
Picture us with our feather dusters in our gogo boots and beehives.... and we used to pull all the blinds up to do the windows, put on pre-clubbing music and dance around while cleaning. Of course, we were in a rush, so we used to do the bare minimum, what we would call "a lick and a promise".
Oh those were the days...:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -
They did get caught. They were on day release from prison (idiots!) they got 4 years on top of their original sentences.
