Looks like another day at home for me in North Notts. Another couple of inches of snow overnight - and it's still going, albeit very fine flakes now.

    Take care all.

Nope, we did discuss putting pics up today when I was in, but we are thinking it might be a bad idea, as it is too busy as it is. I used to like it when it was like the Slaughtered Lamb, years ago, any strangers walking in got instantly stared at, and the pub fell silent, now its full of QPR's.

Might be better off driving in high gears less revs dont want those wheels spinning and turning traction off dont have it myself but why

Apparently if your wheels start spinning it means the car is trying to hard to grip and turning the traction off gives more chance that the car will move on. :shrugs: I'm female, what do I know other than it works.

    Any advice for an automatic?

I know to drive in L (low gears) on snow and ECO mode (Shrugs) and to turn traction off if the wheels start spinning. Don't know anything about how to park it
    .

OH laughing, never have I said anything truer; I know nothing about parking.

Morning all. Snow report here as per neosi above. Primary school just up the road is closed. Watched the little lad from across the road playing in the snow yesterday. First thing he did was scoop up a big handful and try to eat it :rotfl:

 this morning as DH has just phoned. We booked our holiday recently and now his work are saying he almost certainly won't be able to have the time off - after agreeing it would be ok. Will hopefully know more later

OH due to fly this morning. Gets up at 4am, checks flight is running. Clears snow off DS's car (his BMW doesn't move in the snow, at least not in the right direction). Gets to airport, checks phone and has a text to say flight cancelled. Goes into airport and they offer him a later flight, but too late for meeting. So back in the car and drives home.:(

Most of it is over 30 years old but just been looking on eBay and there doesnt seem much interest in it. A lot of the stuff has no bids. I watched a couple of pieces go for next to nothing:o

As you may remember TM I've started collecting bone china trios for the upcoming wedding. (I've now got over 300 when I originally only wanted 120:eek:) Never been able to pick up any old country roses at the prices I've been looking to pay and the stuff I've seen on ebay has fetched some quite good prices. Value depends on the backstamp:

I go to the weekly auctions at Saltburn Salerooms and it always seems to be in demand there. Of course, at a general auction, it never fetches anywhere near the original prices but still way above other bone china. I've even picked up some hand painted art deco trios at a fraction of the cost of what old country roses goes for.
    Awaiting a new sig
