I'm up waiting for DD2 to get back to uni. She is finally in a taxi on the last leg from the station. Has been a bit of a worry since she got on the train earlier.

Just got the "I'm back" text while typing, sooo relieved. :)

    Morning all

Shocked by lots more snow overnight - not forecast

One school open, one closed. OH and DS1 still trekking to open one. DS2 and me marooned on our hill. Not a work day for me thankfully

Stay safe everyone - will be checking on the very grumpy old lady across the road. She has family nearby but is always falling out with them and noone has been near since Friday at least. Probably get my head bitten off but never mind !

    Any advice for an automatic?

I know to drive in L (low gears) on snow and ECO mode (Shrugs) and to turn traction off if the wheels start spinning. Don't know anything about how to park it.

i asked my dad as i dnt know and he says

If your car has automatic transmission, you simply have to put it in park. When you put your car in park, the forward and backward movement of the wheel is restricted.
then apply handbreak, turn car off and all shuld be ok but i recomend you double check this plz -- this is not advice just what my dad knows use this to check agains some-one eles ok
