There is a test. You have to be an absolute nutcase and willing to dash out the door as soon as a glitch is discovered, that's the way you get bottles of Ogio for £1.50, cereal for next to nothing etc :)

On that note, you have asked to join so you must be nuts! Welcome to the nuthouse :p:):D

And the dashing out is obligatory even if you are in your pj's!!

Yesteray we had to take our dog to the vet and saw a new vet in the practise. I didnt really "take" to him and neither did our dog:( Our dog has got a bit of a limp and he told us it could be arthritis, a bone infection or cancer of the leg!! And if it was cancer of the leg they would take the leg off:eek::eek: He was talking about our dog like he was a bit of meat:(He said he needed to be xrayed in 3 places and anaesthetised, at a cost of £460:eek::eek::eek:Now I'll pay whatever to get him better but that just sounded way over the top.So I spoke to Qpranger when I got back and her vet is really good. Phoned him and got a quote for £240-£260 for exactly the same thing:)So we are going there for a second opinion on Monday.
Vets are something I've never shopped about with and I've used the same one for 11 years and if he hadnt have been so horrible about my baby I would have stayed with them. But it just goes to show its worth checking prices;)

Aww Nikki, sorry to hear Alfie is not good at the moment, I hope that QPR's vet can help him. Have you told the vet that owns the practise about how the new vet made you feel? Only reason I ask we took our dog last year (you may remember he has autism), it was a locum we saw and he just said that he needed 'sorting out' and asked us if we had tried hitting him to bring him in line:eek::eek:.

I was not impressed and asked to see the vet who owned the practise, he was not happy and the locum was not around much longer after that.

Oh my word nikkilala sorry to read about your bad experience at the vet, I'm glad to hear QPR recommended the vet for a second opinion.

has anyone ordered anything from Morries wines with money off codes....debating 6 isla negra merlot for £20...anyone had it? is it worth £3.33 a bottle? or is that too dear for the elite :D?

Evening all! Peeps all married for today and lutzi1 reporting for duty.

    This made me laugh viv:D

True, but in extremis try opening both doors on the passenger side and go between them (and if you have a passenger you could get them to stand in front of you, just to cover all bases :)). Or learn to pee standing up, a little girl on a school trip I accompanied once did this to our astonishment, it is possible :D.

I remember my ex FIL sitting in the back had a widdle in a freezing weather traffic queue in an empty diet coke bottle. The traffic started moving so he decided to empty the bottle out the window as we were going along. Unfortunately it was so cold and windy outside and he emptied it towards the front instead of behind, so most of it came back in the car and what didn't froze immediately on the window!
