Managed to go to a different Mr Shoes today. The No 7 make up voucher part worked against the No 7 Exfoliating Sponges, so £3.75 less the £3.00 voucher meant I had to pay 75p. Told the SA to try the £5 but the wench refused to. Not sure if the Exfoliating Sponges are worth 75p!

And lo and behold, saw 2 Davidoff Men's gift sets which were at £28 down to £10 each. Swiped both of them and paid with points! Hallelujah!

thanks for this...will be on the lookout for the Davidoff sets tomorrow :D

Oh thats near Centerparcs isn t it. Spend many a nice time there over the years when the kids were smaller.

yep not far from there...although never been - my idea of a nice holiday does not involve exercising everyday :rotfl::rotfl: we live about 30 miles further south though so not as much snow thankfully :D
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

I reckon it would take him about an hour to walk at least, as he would still have to go via the main road. The back road is shorter route but its a country lane with no lights or paving, dangerous.

I think I am going to get him to wake me in the morning and I will take him up, I think it's by far the best thing to do, our lane was like glass the other morning.

Huge argument going to ensue now as oh objects to this plan, saying I am being soft and youngest son will never learn if he does not do it himself etc ;)

I think I would do the same and take him, I think it is still early days if he only passed his test last summer.

I went out with DD1 the other day and I can feel the difference in her driving now, I was not so nervous. She is 22 and been on the road for about 4 years now. She was at work last night and had to drive home this morning in the snow while still snowing.

I was a little worried but not as much as I would have been if it had been DD2 who only passed in september and only been driving since mid december. Sat with her middle of last week and found myself holding onto the door as she was getting a little bit too close to other cars and the kerb. I would definitely have got OH to drop me off and have driven her back if it had been her. :o

I'm 37 and my dad was on stand by to pick the kids up today if the weather was bad. He is a far more experience driver (police trained driving for 45 years) than me (driving for 6years).
You'll only worry if you don't take him. Take care.

No it was a Gammon Joint and I put it in a saucepan with a 2 Litre bottle of Coke. I boiled it up , skimmed off the surface and simmered for 2 hours. I could be then roasted off in the oven for abour 15 mins but I did not bother with that. Just had a few slices for t with cauliflower cheese. It was lovely. It is a Nigella recipe and today I just used cheap COKE but it does taste slightly better made with real Coke or Diet Coke. HTH

Don't think i would use diet coke if using a slow cooker after reading this

I see your point. It usually takes me 45 mins to walk to work. Today it took 1 hour 20 mins but having seen the state of the roads, which had not been gritted, I was glad to have made the choice to walk
