    French onion soup

    big knob of butter
    Sliced onions
    Crushed garlic
    Bit of sugar
    Beef stock
    Glass of white wine

Heat onion garlic and sugar in melted butter until caramelised- about 30 mins. Use a thick based pan

    Add beef stock and wine

    Simmer for an hour

If you are feeling extravagant add a bit of brandy at the end

    Eat tomorrow with cheesy bread.:)

Does anyone know if T's are doing whoopsies any earlier today due to snow?

:T:T Yes - when I went around 2pm today - SA called me over & said he was doing 75% off now & to hang around :D:D Admittedly the store was empty except for staff. So 1 customer (me) & 8 staff who rapidly appeared, around the Whoopsie SA - I missed out on an awful lot of very good stuff as staff took it as read they had 1st dibs :( (Fillet steaks £1, leg of lamb £3) but they did let me have some things eventually
The SA stopped & asked me what I would like :)
Got lots of fresh chicken, lean mince & lamb chops

Also got another 3 Smartie Supa Tubes :o:o:o you can never have enough tubes of Smarties :p

my womble was a Ts PP...not an apg....I input it yesterday about 4.30pm and it was emailed today at 11.51am :D

hubby works in Edwinstowe and every year they get snowed in/out......so instead of coming home about 6.30pm, they've let them all leave early and he came home about half hour ago :D

cant wait to drag the kids out on the sledges and inflatables....we're very close to a seemingly floodlit mainroad, so am tempted to go out on the field now :D

Oh thats near Centerparcs isn t it. Spend many a nice time there over the years when the kids were smaller.

I want to go to Adsa to get some binbags (if the northern swines have left me any;)) but not really going just for that. Why wasnt glitchy day today instead of yesterday, grrr!!!

What did I miss yesterday?

I buried myself in my toiletry/gift stash cupboard in the morning as I was not allowed to eat or drink for 6 hours before my scan yesterday. Too many temptations elsewhere in the house. :o

Well another no spend day - it started At about 8.30 and its being snowing all day as has most of Cheshire

. 2 sensible cats just went out to do what's needed but Ronnie has been in and out all day, can't stay in the house, always has to be on the move.

Made 2 mincemeat cake loaves for slicing up and wrapping in foil for lunch packs.

Oh is annoying me, came home early so he has been cluttering up the house all afternoon - I quite like a quite afternoon to get on with playing on the computer but he can't stand the silence.

Then he made the stew which was very kind of him but he put it on too early so it was ready at 5
He still can't get to grips with the fact that we don't have kids and teens in the house any more that need to be fed early as soon as they get back from school and early enough so they can do some home work before setting off for scouts/guides/ATC etc.
2 of them have left home for goodness sake.
So what to do with the 6 hours before bedtime
And of course oh will be hungry in 3 hours time, rummaging through the. Kitchen, making a mess and yet more washing up.
So annoying and now he is snoring on the sofa and insisting he is wide aWake.

Oh dear, I am ok for shower gel, found quite a few bottles I had forgotten about while sorting my stash yesterday. :o But crisps and fruit juice I could have done with. Nevermind hopefully next time. ;)
