I feel sure that APG used to still include reduced items (bread) as 1/8 but recent APGs failed due to not having enough items. Has it changed or do I have false memory?
I know, "get more items just in case" but I am curious so that I know what to include in my counting to 8.
Many thanks

Your recollection is correct - fresh items on 'whoops' were excluded as they are store-specific but non-fresh items on 'whoops' did count. There's been a change in the T&Cs - it now seems all 'whoops' items are excluded. I've answered this question before, on the earlier thread (thread called "Encouraged Learning in Trading Excellence"), on 23 December 2012, post no 9167, pg 459.
I still don't risk reduced items, in case they are included and compare the reduced price I paid to a competitor's full price. The 8 items have got to be grocery items - things like stationery, car accessories and dining equipment unfortunately don't count. Apparently the Sada Cocktail Sticks don't count either anymore, as they are in the "Home" items section on sada.com. However, they are on MSM.co.uk. I'm never sure whether batteries do/do not count. The Sada S/P Peeler doesn't count, as it is a home equipment item and neither is it on MSM.
In short it's 8 different grocery items that appear on MSM.co.uk. Sometimes we use items that don't appear on MSM as 'trigger' items that give an instore multibuy when bought with a different item which is on MSM and compares at full price of that individual item even though we got the multisave. Technically it might be argued this isn't even a "glitch" as such - it's simply using the rules as they apply - and using the excluded items to our advantage and not just the included ones! The excluded item, of course, which isn't on MSM, doesn't count as one of the 8, so actually you need a further item - to make 8 that are.
In a mo. I might talk about my crisps shop tonight, as I'm on the cusp of the 8 items thing on that and also did some - perhaps too clever - mixing and matching, so it could all go wrong but probably won't (I have to wait till 10 to midnight unfortunately to find out).0 -

Did you partake of the Ambrosial glitch? :rotfl:
Sorrycouldn't help it. Used to live in Brizzle.
Yup. I went up asdal, go to ikeal frequently and I still got loads of ambrosial :rotfl:
Brizzle is gert lush sometimes but not all of the time. I cringe when I hear the accent on TV, mine sounds nothing like that :j

Is this a glitch? Or is it a genuine price in Morrsions for the crisps 2 for £2.50 in which case you may be able to get them from Morrisons? Obviously not less the Asda 10% but still an excellent offer?"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
