    Hello to everyone

I’m relatively new to all this and only been here for a couple of months, so I’m not too sure of all the ins and outs here. I just have a quick question I wondered if anyone could be kind enough to answer for me. I did a T’s order online on Wednesday and, along with other items, I ordered 3 Vimto Cordials 1.5LT @ £1.53 each. My order was delivered on Thursday and I have been charged £2.65 a bottle (I would have only ordered one bottle at this price if I had known) I didn’t know this could happen and I thought I would be charged the price I ordered it at! TIA

Know you've had some replies already but thought i'd give my two pence worth too :p
I get a Mr Ts delivery probably twice a month. You do have to watch their pricing but when I've rung customer services because there was a difference I've always got a refund (though DTD doesn't apply) It's definitely worth a phone call or an email.
Personally, it saves me money by shopping online. I make sure I have it delivered during the cheapest slot and I do a meal plan and a shopping list so I'm less likely to impulse buy. What makes the biggest difference for us though is that we have much more choice online. Our local Ts superstore is literally at the end of the road but online deliveries come from the Extra in the nearest city. We can get for example big packs of veg that are much better value when ordering online and the delivery charge is less than it would cost in petrol to go to the Extra myself anyway.
I still use our superstore for whoopsies and glitches though ;)

Well, after being all chuffed with my Debenhams bargains this morning I read my 'update' email from them (properly :o) to find they are unable to fulfil the whole order  Gutted, but on to find the next..... :p

I wouldn't say it makes me mad when I see a special offer label underneath a diff. product. They seem to do this all the time in another (non-Tosco) store. (I don't think it's necessarily deliberate: they probably often run out of the product on offer and simply move another size to fill the space left behind.) Usually you'll find the packs half the size which are twice as expensive, above the price reduction label.

This indicates exactly why we should all be using MSM, getting the cheapest item immediately seen by putting the products in order from low to high prices per unit on the website and then making sure we are buying the correct products in store e.g. by looking at the weight on the product itself and not the location of the SEL.

In addition, virtually every other shop I find an item on shelf that scans at a cheaper price than the one shown on the SEL. The price it scans at is the correct expected one from online info. You can't do your shopping from the in-store SEL prices as you're comparing incorrect information, and within one chain only, and can't see that one variety is on half price, or several pence lower, that isn't marked on the shelf.

Nor do you have competitor's prices, behind each product, to know what to buy for a PP/BM/10% cheaper APG and ensure you're getting the best value you can. This can only be worked out online before you go to the store, and - at least with me - I find it cuts down significantly the time spent in store trying to compare on different shelves - and not necessarily with correct pricing info. - as I go straight to the right product instead, straight from my list.

(Sometimes I'm faffing around trying to find a product I haven't bought before, but much of the time it's taking me less time - to go straight to the right size and version - and not having to perform mental calculations or waste time messing about with a calculator that seems to reset itself if I'm rushing around in store.)

Just for info, this is called gap filling and is practised in all supermarkets. Its a little ploy to catch the unawares, who think they are getting a bargain and never check their till receipts, so are not aware of the overcharge.
    :)

Just been to A. Not one single womble to be found.

Anyway just got some general bits to use up the apgs that go out of date. Got to the till and found the kind gentleman who does not to scrutinise the receipt and just checks the details. They were the ones from getting paid to take biscuits and fillers away. Results of my non glitch shop due at 5:10 if that helps. :)
