I did the same with Dell. I told them that unless I had a replacement laptop asap I would be doing a CC chargeback. They sent one immediately.0

Thanks everyone for your help. Just to update we rang Argos today after they'd had the ring for 14 days - and they say that they have it and are arranging a refund.
