HMV Blue Cross 25% off sale

I've been to HMV today and noticed that a lot of the items had a sticker with a blue cross on them. I asked an assistant what they meant and he said that Head Office has told the staff to stick them on all their 'back catalogue' items and there would be further information tomorrow.

He said that even the staff in the shop didn't know what they were for....

Massive sale on at HMV. The shop hasn't confirmed that it is closing down but that seems to be the rumours at the moment.

Either way, it certainly seems to be in trouble...so grab the bargains while you can!

i love HMV ours has a brill vinyl bit(thats like cds but bigger for the kids out there) ...i dont want to buy my cds/blu rays n the likes at asda!!...i want a proper shop where i can faf about for an hour its the last of its kind ....our local high st s will soon be left with greggs...hairdressers and poundland ...........i for one will miss it...btw Edinburgh HMV had the blue x stickers on last weekend ..

It's either closing down or having a mass sale in the hope of being able to pay its loan...not looking good, HMV.

They're not closing down (maybe a couple of stores here & there) There's another thread on it somewhere, it's a blue cross sale with 25% of stickered stock.

Prices may even be in line with their online offerings. Sorry HMV you lost the plot a while ago, just hope you don't take the Fopp chain with you.
