Got my daughter some Brier's boppers boots for £4.99 they are like a short welly type gardening boot in a hi top trainer style quite funky IMHO with a soft cosy lining they had red, pink, black and purple be great for the winter here's a link to them on Amazon. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B007KIPGXQ?pc_redir=1409303829&robot_redir=1

I do like the sound of these for when i'm nipping in to the garden and cant be bothered pulling on and off my big wellies. Hubby goes mad because I usually just put on his trainers and get them wet through!

Wonder if they are comfortable enough for walking a few miles?

I think they are more comfortable than a standard welly but not sure if they would do for proper walking but dd had been wearing them straight off for most of the day and she was comfortable enough to request another pait , just as well seeing the rotten weather today. I'm dissapointed they don't do them big enough for my big feet.

    Thank you.

Well that will do for me, I shall try and get over to HB this afternoon and get a pair. I'm not talking very long walks as my dog is an old girl so I bet they will be perfect!

Bought a Morphy Richards 2 in 1 measuring jug and digital scale today for £7.99 will have to do some baking and test it out.

I've just checked that out and it's £22.99 in Argos, so i'll look if the local H&B have them in stock.

Hope you managed to get some and let me know what you think if you do.
Don't know if the Broons stuff is available in rest of UK I saw it in the Dundee shop where they hail from (D C Thompson are local publishers) so don't know if it's connected I don't think Home Bargains sell stuff from local supplier's but they may do.

My Broons kitchen products were also bought in the ( Lochee ) Dundee store, the store in the Wellgate had a few items but no where near as much as Lochee.

    Hi Violetta and thank you!

I managed to get into town this morning and I found the boots. They had quite a lot of black and red and just one pair of the lovely purple, but alas not my size. Anyway I bought some black ones, they do look very good for this weather.

I'm a size 5.5-6 but found the 6 comes up almost a little small. I tried the 7 but they were too large. I want to wear them with big heavy socks come winter so I'm thinking of going back and getting a seven as well so I can wear them with heavy wool sock when it snows. I'm really pleased with them, thank you so much for letting us know :T
