They are well made with a full length zip down the front and the edges are bound with a white trim, it seems to be extra strong round the gap at the top for the hanger.

Mine have lasted several years now, with regular use which the flimsy bags from the cleaners can not.

The jacket size is slightly too short for my 6' 8" DH's jackets, but I just sliced the bottom off. I did the same with the dress covers to fit the maxi dresses and the stitching has not come undone.

Thanks - will give them a go then.

Our Home Bargains now has a fridge for chilled items and it has things like bacon, yogurt, cheese and butter etc, very useful as this town has no supermarkets actually in town apart from Marks - Morrisons, Aldi are outside and sainsburys about a mile away.

Beware the butter though - we bought a 250g pack last week for 99p - very happy. This week the fridge had the same self edge sign but the butter is now 200g  - 50g less but the same money

Bought this week in Moreton & Hoylake, Wirral.

Blue bag labelled Chocolate Biscuit Selection, broken finger-shaped biscuits covered in an assortment of chocolate. 350g, 99p

They had a yellow POS card which said Cad Chocolate Biscuit Assortment and I thought hmmm wonder if that means Cadburys? Checked the back and they just have a post office address in Birmingham. So I bought them and yep, they're Cadburys. Went back today to stock up the cupboard!

  • Last week I bought Compeed blister plasters, pk 5 for £1, usually £3-4 a pack. Had some kind of 'Olympic' or sporty theme packaging I think, (sorry, ripped the cardboard bits off and chucked them, so now just have the small plastic container of plasters).

Popped in for a couple of bits today and saw that they'd reduced some bulbs (plants) to 29p - I got Gypsophila (4 roots), Liatris (10 bulbs) and Brodiaea (Summer Blue Bells) (40 bulbs). They'd also got some Thomas the Tank and Forever Friends (I think, although they could have been Me to You - it was bears anyway!) hand and face wipes, peach scented, pack of 80, for 39p each.

I also came on to post about the bulbs - mine had very little left but I got one lily pack and some of the pink and white drumstick things.

It did though have loads of the red and white ones - expect noone wanted these.

Also in the chilled fridge section gammon offcuts for 79p - OH is trying one tonight

My store also had the Vie make up the very pale green eye shadow set and a pale foundation in a tub - OK I suppose if you are a pale Nordic type :D

The Vie foundation/powder that I got isn't that pale despite what it says on the packaging. It works for me and I'm quite sallow skinned with freckles.

They had Vie face night creams here too but they sold out very quickly.

Might try the vie then, I'm always the lightest shade in every brand of foundation and they still look orange/yellow on me and no natural looking, so there are people out there who do use these kind of shades!
