Actually I'm hoping that fact has helped us this time schrodie. DD is waiting for wheelchair assessment. The ATOS doc stated that she didn't think the dd would be able to self propel because of her wrist/shoulder problems, so went to speak to her colleague and terminated the assessment.
But I know what you mean, a virtual wheelchair is a bit daftI really can't see any self propeller being able to make it into their Glasgow office without help.
Good luck to your DD.
The virtual wheelchair is daft but it's also very sneaky because the ESA50 states "By moving we mean including the use of aids such as a manual wheelchair, crutches or a walking stick, if you usually use one, but without the help another person"
No mention of this imaginary wheelchair it's if you usually use one.0 -
TY hon, I totally agree with you. But it's not ATOS who decide that, it's the government. And also past governments.
All I want from ATOS is for them to be honest in their assessment. Will find out next week, have called up and requested the medical report. Will update the other thread when I receive either that or the decision, but think the report will come first4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Can you fill the form in online?
An electronic version of the questionnaire is available on the DWP website. This would still need to be printed off to be sent in, but it can be typed into first.“Official Company Representative

Hi,
Atos Healthcare aren't involved in the decision making process so don't have this information, so I'm afraid I can't help with this. You'll need to get the answer from DWP.If Atos aren't involved in the decision making process what is their purpose then?
Any suggestions as to an answer?0 -
Do ATOS keep claimants past claim/medical history on file.Child of a Fighting Race.0

The assessment process carried out by the "healthcare professional" is part of the decision making process carried out by the DWP's DM. Ergo Atos are by association part of the decision making process.0 -

The ATOS Rep is trying to help, and you are constantly trying to disrupt the thread. We know you don't agree with the work ATOS do, but whilst they are trying to help people, please leave them alone.0 -
From watching Panorama, I learned that Atos have unofficial quotas for placing a certain percentage of people into various workgroups for ESA. Can you please advise me how the quota system works and whether, it would be therefore advantageous to refuse an afternoon appointment in case this was to prejudice the outcome of one's assessment?
Hi
I can state categorically that our contract with DWP contains no targets for expected range or distribution of advice to Decision Makers for assessment outcomes.
the Panorama programme was making reference to our audit processes – by audit we mean that we check the quality of cases completed by a practitioner.
We audit all new joiners, all staff on a random basis and those staff whose work is significantly outside of the average over a period of time.
In those cases, there is no question of us applying a “quota” or “target”. We look at the quality and if they are outside of the average we check that it is down to the mix of cases, rather than anyone applying criteria differently. If no issues are found with the quality of work, no action is taken.
That’s about us checking our quality and making sure you can expect a consistent approach to your assessment whoever carries it out.
We have no targets in connection with outcome of an person’s claim.“Official Company Representative
