  • Maybe going on forums and getting the sick to respond is to be a new future test for us all. :rotfl:
  • Are you actually going to answer the questions from customers or are you hellbent on this PR exercise. Instead of answering genuine questions within the guidelines set out at the start of the thread you are instead operating a PR exercise discussing issues outside of the guidelines set out in the thread. I'd very much love to challenge you on the tribunal matter (and your laughable claims of customer satisfaction) here but unlike yourself I stick to the rules. I note that 3 of your first 4 posts on MSE had to be amended due to touting for business or other rule breaks.

Answer relevant customer questions.. yes the ones that mean you have to accept that the world isn't perfect! Otherwise there is no point you being here and you simply highlight the problem with ATOS HC... you don't care about 'customers' and you do not listen.

  • Are the HCP on peace work?

    No, they're taking the pi$$
  • Perhaps if I try again, to get a question I asked on the very first page, there might be some response...

    Who are you asking ?
Who is qualified to judge their competency - are you ?

You will have refused and examination, what happens depends on the DWP / DM. They may offer you a~n~other opportunity or may instantly stop your benefits as you clearly no longer qualify for them.

I urge you not to do that, fighting the teeth of a snarling beast may be one thing, finding yourself with no funds for yourself and family is another - don't go there !

  • The ATOS rep said on the phone to me the other day "we are phoning to make sure you get the right amount of benefit" i said "you don't have a say in how much,if any, benefit i may or may not get, that is up to the the DWP". the rep said "oh yes we do,we have a lot of influence on what you get or don't get" on informing them that the phone call was being recorded they soon changed their info.Like i said earlier, they are sneaky and underhanded.

Someone rang up about 2 weeks ago asking about benefits, my wife thought it was DWP, after seeing this post I have just asked her who it was but because she gets confused and forgets things she cannot even remember the call.

My wife is still on IB and so I am wondering is this the beginning of the ATOS campaign for her?

my brother and a cousin of mine have both been going through the process of migration from IB/IS to ESA, both are being dealt by the same medical services office (bootle), my cousin recieved a letter less than two weeks after her atos medical informing her that she was being placed in the WRAG of ESA - this was back in november, however my brother who had a medical at the same medical services centre a few days earlier than my cousin has still not heard from the dwp about his medical outcome and his IB payments are continuing - in his ESA50 form he filled in he specifically requested several times for dwp/atos to contact his gp for more information about his (multiple) conditions, could this be the reason his decision is taking a lot longer? if his gp is being contacted for more info would it be atos or the dwp decision maker making the request?

Spingoblin, if your brother has had his assessment, his referral will be back with DWP and he would need to speak to them for an update on its progress.

Do the assessors take into account the fluctuations of a persons condtion?

Pamelamac, the design of the Work Capability Assessment does take into account the fact that people’s conditions will vary and the healthcare professional will be looking for the effects of any fluctuating conditions over time.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis and have been found fit for work. yes I have good days, but if anyone were to employ me they would find me having a lot of time off due to pain, also doing things can cause me pain. also there is the side effects of the drugs, I inject a low dose chemotherapy drug once a week. my hair falls out, I get exhaustion, nausea, confusion etc.
who is going to want to employ me! if I don't tell them about my health problems I hv not covered myself should anything go wrong, if I tell them they won't employ me.
I am in a no win situation, I am ill but not ill enough for a benefit, I can work on good days but who knows what day I will be good on or for how long. I am not going to get better only worse.
I feel in limbo. why can someone in my situation with a chronic long term illness be deemed fit for work.
    thank you

debby, if there are things that you feel haven't been considered the way they should have been there might be options available to you. You would need to speak to the DWP, who could advise you based on your circumstances.

I've written to MSE Andrea. I think it is utterly appalling behaviour here. And for what it is worth I think the advice once again in a post.. namely the previous one is at best incomplete and at worst deliberately obstructive of helping someone get suitable redress via legal channel or complaint. The PR agent is cherry picking for standard replies to standard questions... it is fooling nobody.
