All the descriptors within the WCA activities have a point score which is part of the ESA Legislation. While these scores are included in the LiMA program, to produce a report which offers advice to the decision maker, the decision as to which descriptors and points apply in every case rests with the decision maker.

This is not true. Only WCA descriptors that are standard descriptors for the limited capability for work test carry associated points. Non functional (aka exceptional circumstances) descriptors and all limited cap. for work related activity descriptors do not carry associated points.

I wish you would stop misinforming claimants here.

But it's the Hcp that sets the score.

    To Atos Healthcare company representative

    Are Atos assessors on commission?

No, none of our health care professionals are on commission.
    Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Atos Healthcare. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"
  • Why do ATOS keep ringing me when they have been informed not to on no less than 5 occasions and i have a letter from you dated three month ago which ATOS states:

" i can assure you that this will not happen ever again, the manager of the contact centre has been informed and they will make sure that your phone number is taken off and that you will not be called again"

Funny that they called again today:mad:

P.S. i am seriously thinking about legal action after todays call, not so much the fact that they called at all but the content of the call was shocking.Obviously i cannot go into detail but a phone call by me after that atos call to somewhere confirmed my suspicions about the ATOS rep's claims.

Didn't happen I'm afraid, we were told £5 is the max and £5 is what she put on the form, despite us being there for over 2 hours.

I totally understand that times are very difficult to judge, and appointments can run over, but a little word of apology for keeping people waiting. Example, I could have taken the dd round the corner to a sandwich shop for a wee while so she could take her meds, rather than sit in an over heated office.

I have one more question actually if you don't mind, and it's regarding disabled access. If you had ever been to your assessment centre in Glasgow, you would see it's not ideal. They bring out a metal ramp which is very steep. I'll be honest, I struggled to get my dd up this. If she had been there on her own, she would have had no chance of getting up these ramps. Would it not be easier to do wheelchair or disabled (DLA recipients) WCA in their homes or a more disabled accessible place?

mazza111, sorry that you have experienced these issues. Can I suggest that you contact us so that we can try to investigate? Our contact details can be found in our profile.

Or alternately he could look at your website regarding the complaints procedure of course. Why on earth would the claimant want to 'discuss their experience with customer relations'... it won't achieve anything except give ATOS an opportunity to stall the claimant in actually getting the matter resolved through appropriate legal channel or formal complaint processes with appropriate bodies. This is all PR and not claimant help.

Once again Mutters comes up trumps. Always go for the formal complaints route with Atos and also let your MP know about your experience at the hands of these people.

    Hi.

People called Decision Makers at the DWP make all benefit decisions. The report produced by Atos Healthcare is one of the pieces of information that they take into account.

Hence Atos ARE part of the decision making process.

Wel ATOS rep... ever since you joined well over a year ago you've avoided every one of my genuine and relevant questions - conclusion you're a PR agent and not here to help customers at all. Please prove me wrong in the next working week. I hope MSE take note.
