Pmsl yeah you're right
Glad you took that ok, being my first post on here wasn't sure how you'd take it and didn't want to appear a smartass
, but also didn't want to risk the OP getting frustrated and giving his computer a free flying lesson  Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

No problem
I've edited the post as well. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I do not think PE will bother taking you to court.
Its easy to post up the popla refusal. All I did was copy and paste the entire document, edit out your name etc.
PE won't be able to sue you as they don't own the land and the ldna have got rid of PE
Can you confirm you recieved a second letter from popla telling you to pay? Just copy and paste it.
Hi BASFORDLAD, I do agree that PE are whimps and unlikely to do the court route, however the BPA are insisting that any refused appeal by POPLA's biased un-indipendant charade of an appeals service the PPC must do the court route, lets see!!0 -

They can't force a ppc to do court, there is a recommendation for them to do so, but there is no must involved. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Tried to copy and paste Popla refusal of appeal but everything freezes - it must be my computer! Latest is the Ombudsman can't help because I went to Popla and they don't want to get involved in legal proceedings, which is quite understandable. A solicitor would cost over £100 per hour and I am finding it extremely difficult to contact our local CAB. I will just have to wait and see if they take me to Court and hope that the Court will see my point of view. ParkingEye cannot prove that they are right in accusing me of not paying because they have no photo of my car windscreen during my stay. Their sign said 'Pay & Display, which we did do, and there was a ticket on my windscreen to prove it. I don't see why I should have to pay another £100 when I have already paid to park. It is just plain wrong!0

Ombudsman? Can you explain further?
You don't need a solicitor - if PE bring a small claim it is designed such that solicitors are not generally needed, for that reason the legal costs either party can claim from the other are very very limited indeed. You would get help from here or PePiPoo in preparing any defence. I seriously doubt it will ever get that far, PE don't have much of a legal case, and they haven't got a history of trying court. They know they'd lose.
Don't bother with CAB. Their 'information pack' for advice to members of the public was actually prepared by the MD of one of the Private Parking companies who used to brag that he was a CAB advisor in his spare time. They'll just tell you to pay!

Thank you for the advice. I find this forum very helpful and I feel much more hopeful of a good outcome now. If the worst happens it looks like I won't have to fork out that much anyway!
Many thanks to all and I will keep you posted.0 -
Was the sign in your instance like this one?

FightorFlight.
Yes, the signage was similar to that one - the main details were legible but the "small print" details were small, very small!0 -

That's a laugh. If you are a parent with a toddler or a blue badge holder you can only park in the marked spaces, so if they are all full and you park in an unmarked space you will get a ticket. They at least seem to have heard about blue badges not being valid in private car parks and don't say you have to display it.0
