Making cash from online survey sites - new MSE guide

You won't get one survey a day from yougov. Don't get me wrong, they're a kosher site ( though not without their problems ). But they are definitely one of the "slow-burn" sites, you'll be lucky to get to the £50 payout threshold once a year. And they have been know to try and wriggle out of paying by claiming you provided contradictory answers - like what your age and sex is ! Happened to me once, I emailed them and told them I was pretty sure I knew what sex I was
They relented in the end, but it took a few sternly-worded emails.

I enjoy the surveys on Survey friends, It's great to be asked your opinion about different subjects. I just wish I was eligible to be sent more surveys so I can swap my points for a voucher quicker.0

I've joined quite a few, some are worse than others. One in particular is Gratis - you get quite a few invites, average reward is 50 points, and you need 5000 points to get a £50 Paypal.
What I object to is after completing a survey you have to wait 8 weeks for it to be "validated". Once you manage to get 5000 & ask for Paypal (they deduct 3% for handling) you then wait another 8 weeks to actually get it!0 -
I've been a member of most survery sites for well over 1 year hear is my view,
Inbox pounds - 1 year + Overall happy very small payouts for e-mailed surveys and you should earn about £20 in a year
Valued opinions 1yr + This is one of the best sites for earning vouchers although you have to earn £10.50 for a £10 Vouchers i earn about £10 every 6 weeks or so and vouchers arrive between 1 - 3 weeks normally 10 days is - avg for me about £70 per year
Mintvine less than 1 year - although they pay in $ not £ via paypal works out to about £6.50 for every $10 cashed out had 2 cash outs and although the funnel survey is bad, doing daily polls and bonuses every 10 day average earning every 8 months is about £6.50
Panel opnion - 1 year and earned £10 payout via paypal in about 8 days - surveys are normally quick and avg earning per survey 20p - 50p
Newvista - just over 1 year and earned £50 cheque (10 months) and up to £27 in about 4 months till now, cheque takes upto 4 weeks or so depending on balance at time, - you tend to get screened out when your at about 49 quid or so for a week or 2 but it does come
Global Test - average £30 payout about every 6 - 7 months screened out lots of time when you get to about 1000+ points but it does come.
Harris online - slow and time consuming to earn about £10 every year and half
Pinecone - invited via Harris after being with harris for at least a 18 months and only able be a member of pincone via invite only - been with them about 8 weeks and did 3 surveys @ £3 each - cash out low via paypal @ £3 normally next day from claim.
Tickbox - very quick surveys but exchange for gifts not a great site, however they do sometimes do their survey via peanut labs on inbox pounds and normaly worth about 28p each. i gave up on tickbox.
Verve Voices - not bad will take time to build up point for cash out still waiting to get enough 1,000 points for a £10 - 9 months or so in 525 points earned
Mingle - earned £10 in about 8 months - but seem to be getting screened out for quality control, which as you can see i do many sites and very rarely happens (newvista has quality control) - but more on the mingle site, so gave up on them
Toluna, if you want to wait ages for points to alocate you have a good range of vouchers / gifts to choose from
So if you have the time to do them you can earn a few quid, and sometimes you get to sample food etc... i've had chrisps, cornflakes, chocolate powder mix, aftershave but few and far between.
My favorites are - Valued opinions, Pincone, Newvista
hope this helps, and feel free to ask me anything
I liked Tickbox because they were quick & simple - but it closed some weeks ago (and I had about 2000 points I was saving, all lost)

Anyone else finding the number of OnePoll surveys has dropped dramatically in the last few months?0
-
Be warned ! Gratis is closing on 11th March, not sure if orders already placed will be honoured but I've not got quite enough for another payout & don't know if it's worth trying to reach threshold in time
So looks like I might have wasted several hours over the past months0 -
Thanks, I sent e-mail querying what happens to points & got reply
"If you will be not be able to reach at minimum threshold, we will not be able to provide you any cashout option. The balance which will be left back in your account will get forfeited once the panel site will get closed."
So I've got about £15 worth of "points" but below threshold so unless I manage to get more in the next week I've wasted my time doing their surveys0 -
Hi Guys
Has anyone tried CFS Survey Panel? I've been getting a decent amount of surveys off them and not getting screened out too much. Not had a payment yet (on £6) but the amount to redeem is only £8 and it says its sent instantly by Paypal!
Cheers

I've been doing surveys for the past few years and I've earned the following in the last year:
Global Test Market £210 - easily my biggest earner, but you do have to trawl through a lot of dross (and screen outs). Pay out to paypal in a couple of weeks as well, usually.
Valued Opinions - £90. Takes a while to get completed surveys credited, and the £90 includes one survey of £20 which has made my earnings look much better.
My Voice - £20 - not much really, but I'm quite fond of them - their surveys are simple, they screen you out quickly if necessary (and give you some points) and they seem thoroughly nice.
Just the Answer £10 - I've really gone off them, in fact I might ditch them after my next payout. They tend to have a lot of the CINT surveys, which I immediately stop as I've had bad experiences with screen outs and never seem to qualify for anything.
Pure Profile £50.65 - I'm surprised I've earned this much this year as they rarely have surveys and I rarely qualify - they do pay 5p if you don't qualify though. Lots of odd pyschology ones recently as well. There are also a lot of "sign up to this external betting website for 50p" ones recently which I really don't like, you can skip over these easily though.
Panelbase £86.90 - these come and go, but I do get a steady stream of tv/ radio based ones.
One Poll £40 - these have really dried up - quick, mindless, pointless surveys - which I'm always really shocked when I see the results a couple of months later presented as "research" in quality (and not so quality) newspapers. Don't bother with OnePoll+ - more CINT surveys that are (for me) a waste of my time.
You Gov £50 (and I'm one survey away from another £50) - definitely more surveys than there used to be. I like these guys - they were the first survey site I started doing many moons ago, I enjoy the political ones and, even though the £50 payout seems to take forever to get to, it feels like proper money when it arrives in your account.
I need to get up to date with some of the newer sites.0
