Thats what I did and I checked they were there :(

If they were definitely there and you didn't delete them then they should still be there - as someone suggested earlier have you checked to see if it's that the files aren't a supported type so aren't appearing

When you viewed them back from the stick what software application did you use? Maybe there is a history as such that will reveal the file location if it's got lost in another folder somehow?
  • Have you deleted from the USB stick by mistake and they are still sitting in their original locations?
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

What role does Realplayer have in this?

How, exactly, were you copying or moving the files? With Windows Explorer?
  • This is unlikely to be the cause, but you never know.

Go to the control panel on your computer and open "Folder options" then "View".
Tick the box for "show hidden files and folders".
then have another look at the contents of your drive.

There is a small possibility that the files have been marked as hidden so although they are on your disk, you can't see them.
  • Download the freeware program "PC Inspector File Recovery" available from WebAttack; the download is about 2.9 MB. This program will recover anything -- except erased or wiped files, of course. Note: this is not Spyware / Adware. It's really free! A few mouse-clicks and you will have your file back. There is a no-brainer short tutorial in the help file. You can recover the deleted file from the "Recycled" folder (it will have a different name), or even better from the original folder if you can remember where you originally deleted it from (it will have the same name as the original). Save the recovered file where you want.
