Hi all I was just transferring all 6 years of my daughters video from baby till now. I checked they had gone onto the disc, but now they have gone cant find them the file is there but it is empty I have checked the recycle bin, not there for some strange reason the restore point I did a few months back isn't showing it saying there is no restore point.
Is there anything I can do, I am distraught I just want them back

I dont know there were clips from my different mobile phones and I was playing them back in Realplayer I thought I was transferring them to my Sandisk key. I even played them back on there before I deleted the folder off my laptop

The file may not have been saved in the recycle bin as it was probably too large. Only suggestion now is recovery software as mentioned above. Until you do that, do as little as possible saving of files on your computer as you may overwrite your lost files.0

Download Recuva as suggested by CLOSED, preferably to another drive on your computer if you have one, and run it.0

From Recuva Help File -
Quick Start: If you know the file names
You can speed up Recuva's search and recovery if you know all or part of the name of the file you're looking for:
Start Recuva in Advanced mode. If the Wizard appears, select Do Not Show This Wizard on Startup and then click Cancel.
In Recuva's main window, type all or part of the file name into the Filename or path box. Select the location you want to search from the drop-down box at left, and then click Scan.
Recuva displays the progress of the scan, and then shows its search results in the main window. If the file(s) you're looking for aren't in the list, see below.
Select the check boxes beside the file or files you want to restore. The color of the dot next to the file name indicates your chances for a successful recovery (green for excellent, orange for acceptable, and red for unlikely):
Click Recover. Select a destination for the recovered files (ideally, on another drive). Click OK.
If Step 4 did not locate the files you were seeking, select Deep Scan in the Options dialog box on the Actions tab. Run Step 5 again. This advanced scan will take much longer (it can take hours).0 -

So sorry to read of this but before you declare the files gone, do you know what just one of them was named exactly? If so, try a system search for it just in case it went somewhere other than it appeared to go. If you can find just one file, the others could be with it.
Edit: If that doesn't work, try part of a file name as you remember it.Error! - Keyboard not attached. Press any key to continue.0
