Flights to Krakow, Poland.

My good lady and I fancy a wee trip to Krakow so can anyone tell me the cheapest period to fly, and with which airline.

Groupon are doing a deal at £159 (each) for three nights and includes hotel but i'm sure a better deal can be achieved.

Sorry, I should have been more specific! Based in Coventry so Birmingham, East Mids and Luton are easily accessible.

In that case, Ryanair may be your best bet for cheap flights. They fly from Birmingham and East Mid. Tickets are usually on sale 2-3 months before departure.

OH and I went to Krakow for 3 nights last March. We flew with Ryanair from Stanstead and booked accommodation and flights through Travel Republic (I seem to recall that including flights in meant we didn't have to pay the Ryaniar card fees etc ).
Anyway the whole thing cost £190 for the two including flights and hotel.
We stayed in the Jewish quarter which was about 10/15 minute walk to the main city square.
    Hope that helps

Do not book Ryanair flights through Travel Republic or any other 3rd party site. It's against Ryanair's T&C and you risk the ticket being cancelled.

I've not used TR before but it looks like it caters for everything. Found some good options for Easter which could be nice.
  • I'm off to Krakow in May. The only realistic option is to fly Ryanair.
Lufthansa go there but there's one stop, it takes hours and costs a small fortune.
Flown with Ryanair many times, play by the rules and it's fine. Exit Krakow Balice airport, turn right and follow the signs for the train. Costs about 15zlotys each and takes you (express) to the central station in Krakow.
    Normal people worry me.

Thanks, great directions. Is it expensive to eat and drink in Krakow, or is it similar to most European cities.
  • Very cheap to eat in Krakow - and eat well! Portions are big, food is delicious. Take a look at Trip Advisor for recommended restaurants but
do try and eat Polish (it's not all beetroot and cabbage I promise you)!
Local beer's good and, of course, the vodka.
Also, bear in mind that it's a Catholic country and some places may be closed over Easter - certainly on Easter Sunday.
    Normal people worry me.
  • Wizz air will fly you there from luton
