Tesco Mobile Parental controls - anyone else got this problem?

Got our son a new phone & contract for Christmas, on Tesco Mobile's spiffing £7.50 per month deal. All fine and dandy, except ... I tried to apply parental controls to the account (they are supposed to stop access to 18+ websites - I know they can't be 100%, but thought if the facility is there I might as well use it).…

Ah, but you can use an intelligent router, which you can set-up to only provide certain web-addresses to devices with certain MAC addresses.

Which is what we do ...
