Lloyds Loan mis-sold?

Hi all. Feb 2008 I went in to my local Lloyds as I was having some trouble with myself employed earnings so wanted to shuffle a few things about. Anyway, they offered me a loan. Apparently I was OK up to 20,000, but only took 7500. I was earning way less than 10,000 a year.
The long and short of it, I couldn't manage it, they didn't take my OD off me or my credit card, and eventually went under. On the surface it seems like they were helping me, but i just got into more debt. I managed to get hold of the notes for the loan app and it was suggested that I showed the guy my full two years of accounts to RBS, but it's not true. I've never been with RBS!
He falsified my own application in order to get his loan points, while putting me deeper into debt.

its not a criminal offence to missell, but it is to commit fraud.
they dont force you to sign, or to spend the money...
so move on.Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -
So you have documentary evidence of you signing a fraudulent loan application? Sure you want to own up to that?Thinking critically since 1996....0

Go ahead with your complaint. You are the one who will land in the fertilizer.
The loan was OK to you when you took it out. Like many people, you come on here to complain about a loan which you were perfectly happy with when you took it out, but once you can't manage, look for a way out by blaming the loan company. This board is full of people with the same thoughts as you, but unfortunately for you, none of them has (to my knowledge) ever managed to get out of the loan."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I particularly like this bit:Chickusdickus wrote: »..they didn't take my OD off me or my credit card.
OP, why are you so unable to take responsibility for your finances?0 -
Wow, the hostility from you people!
This is a help forum, not a self indignant forum, as pointed out earlier.
Did you even understand the question poised?
Offering a drowning man a rope, but then hanging him with it. You have no idea.
He claimed to the Bank that I showed them RBS statements with my proven income. It's not true. If my real income and economic plight were truly considered, they would have refused any loan. I did not go in for a loan. I left 30 mins later with more debt and no income to pay for it. Of course I took it. I was practically broke.
I wrote to the Bank and was informed that particualr person no longer worked for them due to issues with his selling. They admitted a certain amount of liability, In writing, but came back with the answer most of you have. Yet still offered to refund any payments made to date, give me £500 and start a new lower loan, remove my OD and CC and considerably reduce my monthly and interest rate.
You think this is a good will gesture or an admission of fraud?
As for the 'move on' comment. If you can't simply hear me out and offer genuine sincere, and compassionate advice as to my situation at the time, I suggest YOU simply move on! None of you thus far have offered ANY kind of help, only criticism.
As for pointing out there are many many people on this forum like me, there are many many people on forums like YOU. Tech wise and the like. You offer NOTHING.
Please leave this thread at your own free will and don't bother me again with negative criticism. It doesn't help anybody.0 -

What kind of help are you looking for?Chickusdickus wrote: »...

It's an open forum. Anyone can post. Anyone frequently does.0 -
This is how I sum up your replies:
"By pointing out the errors of someone else we are attempting to position ourselves as better than them. People with low self esteem, people who are unhappy in their lives, people who are frustrated with where they are in life are most susceptible to self-righteous indignation. By finding someone we believe to be less than or worse than ourselves and condemning them, we manage to feel some sort of superiority. "0 -
Antrobus, in order to help, one must first understand the problem, to do this, one first must have all the facts, and to do this, one must inquire further.
There was no further inquiry. It was taken at face value and prematurely remedied. My error, my fault, move on! Take responsibility.
The help I am looking for is in the fraudulent application. The notes I refer to were not written, but on the 'system'. I know someone who works at the bank and they printed out the official notes. This is privileged info.
The help I'm after is to know whether there are grounds to have the loan revoked under a mis-selling?
I did not show RBS statements as I have never been with RBS. I did not prove I could afford the loan. I was in there because i couldn't afford to live at all at the time as i had so little income. The loan was assured because of my good credit rating, not based on my earnings.0 -
Also my OP title ends with a question mark. It was not a statement of fact!0

Someone call a WHAAAAAMBULANCE!!
For people to offer proper advice you have to give all the information that is relevant to your question in the first post.
You didn't. Your fault.0
