Just book a damn twin, solves the problem0

In 'hotelspeak' a 'double' room does not always mean a room with one double bed. It fequently means a room which will sleep two people and this could be in one double bed or two twin beds.
Is the expression 'twin room' possibly specifically British? It doesn't seem to be used much outside the UK.0 -

I've known twins with two double beds but never a double with two
singles anywhere including India where the OP is going and I've been there dozens of times. Indeed the Taj web-site talks about doubles and twin beds and even tell you if it's a King size or Queen size bed so no excuse really for booking the wrong thing.
eg. Deluxe Room/ City View/ King Bed/ Tower Wing/ Higher Floor/ 26 Sq Mt0
