So after all the complaints about these companies how come they're still top of the page on Google ?
Maybe it's because they're not doing anything wrong ?
Or maybe it's that google happily takes their money to keep them at the top of the page;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
@meer53 - @valli sums it up - these guys provide Google with a large revenue stream, and unless enough people raise it with Google nothing will happen. When ads are flagged the sites subtly change their adverts then re list them. But if sites are flagged enough they get blacklisted.
Re the point these guys are doing nothing wrong -- there are many ways these websites could accurately describe what they do and this thread wouldn't exist, but neither would they. They choose not to, and describe what they do do in a very deceptive way.0 -

When one of these sites actually provides a link to the genuine site, how can that be called "deceptive" ?
All of them state on their homepage that they are not affiliated to the official government department, how is that "deceptive" ?
What more would you like them to do ? What would you expect Google to do ? If they start banning companies who tell the truth then where the hell will that lead ? Have you actually looked at these sites ?
People are free to raise it with Google, i'm sure many already have. Google can't be held responsible for peoples decision making.0 -
So yes I'm new and yes I fell for it. Paid £72.50 for a form !!!!
anyway I filled out a form on the site complaining and asking for a refund they sent the following
Dear Sir / Madam
Thank you for your email of which your comments have been noted. We are more than happy to issue a refund , but we can only issue refunds either direct to your bank account or via Paypal. Please supply the following information , and we will refund full payment less £8.00 administration fee as per our Terms & Conditions and cancel your passport application immediately. (We CANNOT refund to your card)
Bank Account Number (8 digits)
Sort Code
Order ID
Paypal Email Addresss
The remittance will come into your bank within 3 days from TAD Services
Best Regards
Should I now use what my common sense is telling me and NOT give them my details to get a refund or can anyone give me advice please
Thanks

If they can't refund to a card, and you want a refund, then you will have to give them the details.
To be honest, although I think these website companies are guilty of sharp practice, I don't think they have ever been accused of scamming bank accounts or cloning accounts etc.,
I would give them the details, and then just keep a close eye on the account, for a while.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

I would expect them to come back and repeat that they cannot refund to your card. Can you give them your paypal details if you do not want to give bank details?0
