Check out the HANNSPREE HANNSpad SN1AT71WEE
10.1" IPS
Quad core
1.2GHz
Memory DDR3 1GB
Storage 16GB (Expandable)
2 YEAR GUARANTEE,and that's Gotta be a Plus.
A couple of Cameras, but that's not what I was looking for in a Tablet.Bottom Line?
Price (from Asda) £129.00 LESS Asda £10 voucher (Mentioned on HUKD site, found on Asda site,as I checked-out the product)
so,NOW we are down to £119.00,but it can get better...
I got it for £99.00,because I found a new credit card (when on the Amazon.co.uk site) Part of my "Research" into the MANY Tablets on the market. With the AQUA Card,if I stay within my Limit, and make the minimum payments for the first 2 Months, they will credit me with £20.00.
Think of a CREDIT card as a DEBIT card, with benefits.(Security) Pay for your goods with a debit card (as people did with COMET) and if the Company went Belly up 2 minutes later, even before you made it out the door  chances are you lost yer money, and NO Delivery
NOW,SAME deal, but you used a CREDIT card (and it's over £100) your money would be safe,as the Credit card company would pay you back,by Law :T
You can pay your Credit card off 30 seconds after you made your purchase (if you want) with your Debit card,so it's ALL done and dusted.Money goes out of your account just as fastBUT yer COVERED :j
That's a good deal, even at £109 (just with the £10 off over £100 on tablet code mentioned on the Asda page), free delivery with collection from store. (not sure I could be bothered to take out a credit card to buy it cheaper though as that has other consequences)
I though it would be very low spec but actually its not, Quad core, 1280x800 IPS screen, 16GB, metal case and HDMI output with promise of an android update. Reasonable sized 6000MAH battery too (although 8000 would be better for this power/size tablet.)
Only thing I am not keen on is its 16:10 widescreen format, I prefer larger tablets in a squarer ratio that gives more area and easier to read webpages on - but if your not too fussed about that its a great deal. :T

Also has Bluetooth apparently so use with suitable cordless mice, keyboard, OBD port reader etc possible.0 -

I've got a dead one of those here. I am the IT guy for friends and family.
It won't boot up. Tried factory re-set and been though the files but its dead and I've advised sending it back to retailer.
I googled it and the reviews are poor. Don't waste your money on this as its poorly made IMHO.
If you want a cheap tablet get a samsung and use every voucher/sale/buy last years model to save money. Don't pay list price for it at John Lewis.0 -
Ok, I need a 7" or 8" tablet for the sole purpose to download an app which is a picture communication system for my son who has autism and is non verbal. He has an iPad already which he uses to watch clips on you tube/interactive books/ music. I continue to be totally amazed at how well he is able to access this tech.
So I guess the new tablet I'm looking for only needs the basics but a decent battery life, and wifi.
Any advice?
