New benefit cap....coming in summer 2013

Just found out that benefits will be capped from this summer, and very interesting reading, was unaware of these changes up until today but worth looking on your local government site for the details. It seems that benefit will be capped at £5oo per week for families and single parents and £350 per week for single people. This will include your housing and council tax benefit ,most other benefits included except working tax credit. Cannot believe they have even included bereavement allowance in this....

Shocking isn't it, that a family can get £24,000 tax free from the govt each year - that's the equivalent of a £34,000 salary!

That's disgusting that, how is a single parent going to manage on just £500 per week tax free for doing nothing?

No wonder this country is a migrant magnet.;)

Beveridge would be spinning in his grave if he knew people were getting £24,000 FREE money for sitting on their backsides doing nothing.

I assume child maintenance also excluded, so a number of single mums can probably reach the equivalent of a £40K salary with it.

I also think from what I was told at work that DLA and carers are also excluded. Not sure on child benefit.

Just checked email and basically if anyone gets dla the cap is removed. Cb and carers included

No wonder everyone wants to be on the sick instead of just regular benefits. It gives some of them more money to get drunk with:mad:
