I've had 2 packets returned to me this week from Royal Mail, both saying packet damaged, they found my details inside. Shame they didn't think of actually delivering it instead. Now it looks like I've not posted originally and could be accused of telling a 'white lie'. I'm not and now feel that I need to put a copy of the RM correspondence in the parcel even though I do get a COP when posting.
packets aren't/shouldn't be returned when damaged
only if there is no legible delivery address
you state they found your details inside. couldnt they read your return address on the outside?
how were they packaged that they got damaged?0 -
Well, sadly nothing arrived on Friday, nor saturday, nor today!
Given that this is supposed to be a '48 hr courier' things are getting a little strange now. I don't understand really, given the user's perfect record. My gut feeling says the seller isn't treating this seriously enough. I'd be onto the delivery company way before now!! And if one damaged the label i'd be using a different company. Perhaps the dispute will put a boot up their backside.
I live in a simple close with 10 houses, we don't have any issues with any of the courier companies not finding us at all. I've even checked round the back of the house to see if it's been left there - nothing. That said there's nearly always someone at home, plus our neighbours are lovely and have taken in parcels for us, and vice versa. So no issues this end.
Also another fact that's annoyed me, is that i've asked and asked who their courier is and this question has just been ignored. I just want to see the tracking info so I know what they are saying is the truth!
Anyhoo so, I got fed up and opened up the paypal dispute, in paypal. Despite it trying to point me towards the ebay resolution centre!
20 days, clock is ticking..
Even though this thread isn't really that interesting in the grand scheme, i'll keep it updated as I know how annoying it can be to read a thread and wonder what happened in the end

Yes please do please update this thread, it is odd when a seller goes completely AWOL isn't it?

Have you opened a dispute yet? I wouldn't bother waiting to hear back from the seller now. They've had more than enough time.0
 -
Op, I see you have opened the dispute, have you escalated it too?0
 -
Not yet, but got home today and nothing here for me, so i'm going to escalate it now.
Done. Getting tired of this now
What will paypal ask me and the seller to do next? 0 -
Now it is escalated, it will go to an agent to review. The seller will be asked for tracking, this tracking must show as 'delivered'.0

Well, dispute closes on 25/1 and status is still 'awaiting other party's response'.
Nothing has arrived.
I guess if there's no response from the seller, the dispute will be found in my favour and I get refunded? What if their paypal account is empty?0 -
            Hi Heronfolder
I also have a claim that closes on 25th with no response from the Seller. I have noticed that they have been buying things so am hoping I will still get my money back.
Was wondering though if there is a dispute does Paypal place a hold on the funds like when there is a chargeback?
Let's hope we both get out money back on Friday.

Well, today is d-day, no sign of my item and still no action taken by the seller. Have to wonder if he's even seen that there's a case open.
Just got to wait for paypal to do their thing.0
