Can I please join?
Got into sewing before Christmas when I sewed our names on our first stockings (myself and o/h). Have to say I really enjoyed it even though it took me 2 months as my hands and wrists aren't always willing.
Have a few things in mind that I want to make and I really want a new hobby this year, I'm just not sure what it is yet.
1)Make scrapbook for my sisters birthday in March.
2)Make our Christmas Cards for this year(end of year obviously)
3)Sew a handbag for my other sisters birthday in October.
4)sew tie backs for bedroom curtains & hem curtain panel.
5)sew a fabric cover for my kindle.
will have to update when I think of some more.13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

:wave:Hi Soulie and everyone else, please could I join in?
I have so many projects on the go and I'm hoping that this will give me a much-needed kick up the bum to finish them (or some of them...) off finallly.
I also want to have a go at making some cards this year for birthdays and Christmas so that's another two projects to add to the ever-expanding list:D
I'll post my list when I've had a chance to look at all the "pendings" and see what I feel up to tackling this year, hope that's OK?
Thank you

Hiya
My projects were sort of put on hold as need to buy wool. But the mum at school has given me a huge bag of wool (made her a hat) and in the bag was a light green so going to use that for one of the dinosaurs. Hopefully will start on that this week. Need to make a few more hats first though!

No, the rest of the projects I want to be used for birthday/xmas presents so if I count the hats I wont be motivated to make as many other items if that makes sense :rotfl:
thanks anyway. am hoping for the dinosaur (that i havent started yet) to be finished by next weekend.0 -

Fab progress everyone, love the hat nuttybabe, what a fab talent
My projects have been a bit on hold as I am STILL waiting on the free gift of quilters cutting tools and healable cutting mat from Sew Magazine so I can start this quilt I have wanted to start since November, A little fed up as I have no idea who to contact to find out where it is either
Oh that reminds me, that the last issue came with a template to make various posh cushions which is a definite must since dd ripped a nice large hole in our (leather) sofa the little madam. It will be on my to do list as hubby bought new pillows last week so the old ones shall be washed, rescued and used for cushion pads. Will need to find some nice material on the cheap.
I also want to do the liberty tea dress for my daughter but I have no freezer paper at the moment to trace the pattern from the magazine, it's an overlapped pattern for all the different sections. Sadly I havent the drivers for the printer so a bit limited on ones I can do.
On the bright side, I'm all geared up ready to do soem chutney this week, hubby wants picillii (sp?) but my recipe has gooseberries and allsorts of crazy things, so I'm trying chow chow which looks similar (I hope) shall post pics as they get doneComping wishlist for 2017

Hi everyone
I've decided on project no 1. I did some small silk paintings of different flowers a couple of years ago so I'm going to make them into birthday cards for various family members. Well, that's the intention, I'll see how I get on.....
Project no 2 is going to be to finish the upholstery I did last year - I recovered some chairs and have one left to do.
I better get moving then:D
Project no 3 might be a small cross stitch kit I have of a black cat sitting by a pink door. My niece-in law would like it and it would make a good birthday present for her if I can get it finished in time... or it could be a Christmas present if not:)
Hi savvybunny:wave:
You may already be aware of this if so, sorry, but you can buy rolls of tracing paper and pattern making paper for making patterns. I bought a huge roll years ago and am still working my way through it, it's handy for all sorts of things, not just making patterns.
Link below, I haven't used this company but have heard that they are good.
