'Cheap' NZ flights?

Ok. Yes indeed, I'm just weighing it up now depending on connecting flights etc...Doshwaster wrote: »No. If you don't turn up for the first leg (DUB-FRA) then they would couldn't you as a no-show and cancel the whole ticket.
The question is whether the going via DUB is worth it when you add in the extra cost, time and inconvenience compared to flying a route such as MAN-DXB-AXL.0 -
Ok well I've now found one that goes via Heathrow/Gatwick (so I have to fly to London via Dublin, bonkers!) but anyway, on the way back could I just get my luggage and not go to Dublin? Is that possible?
EDIT: Actually on the way back I'd have to transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick anyway, thereby collecting my luggage, so I should be able to shouldn't I?0 -
Well this is interesting. A normal, straightforward flight with emirates MAN - CHC has just come up at £950. Yes I can go DUB - AKL for £700 but I still have to mess around either side, is it worth it I wonder?
Also the Emirates flight allows me a day to look round both Sydney and Bangkok...0 -
I would take the Emirates option as it will be all on one booking. Too much risk with missed connections the other way.0

In practice, flying ex-EU on long haul flights is typically only worth it for premium cabins. In Economy the saving isn't usually worth the time, cost and hassle of the extra flight.0 -
Study during the Easter hols-Get a good degree -
Then take a GAP year and spend more than 2 weeks in NZ:cool:
To spend £900 for a two week stint in a country that needs at least 4 weeks minimum is crazy IMHO.
I would agree you should try and do more than two weeks. I have done a two week New Zealand break before and it was a bit rushed. The flight takes a chunk out of it anyway and then there is the jetlag. Try and go for a minimum of 3 and preferably 4 weeks.0
