FGA Capital PPI Help!

Options
Hello everyone,

I had two loans from FGA Capital for approx 10,000 each which were used to buy a car. I have the original paperwork and its unclear whether the loans were HP, Personal Loan etc as it doesnt really say. Both agreements list loan insurance totalling approx 1500 each.

I've taken time to read up on this site and this morning I posted away my questionnaire and copies of documents to FGA (recorded delivery).

I just wondered if anyone had any information on the likelyhood of success with this company? Ive searched this forum, and online and can see very little mention of FGA relating to PPI anywhere.

Hope you can help!

David

If you have a valid complaint with evidence to support then you'll win redress. You can't complain simply because you have a PPI policy, it has to have been mis-sold to you.
The company in question should be irrelevant to your likelihood of success.

    Hi there, thanks for replying.

I have a good cause for complaint that it was mis-sold going by some of the discussion on here - I was just a bit bit puzzled as to why FGA are not mentioned here or anywhere online regarding PPI claims - I wondered if it was due to the fact that it was car finance (possibly HP - I'm not really sure what the difference is or even what these particular loans were).

    Thanks again,
    David

This is the weakest complaint you can make. You can't prove this was the case and your lender will very likely present evidence to the contrary.
    Expect a rejection, I'm afraid.

Ah, ok. It seemed like a good enough reason to me to be honest as I had a secure job at the time and would have been allowed 1 year off work with full pay by my employer if I'd became ill.

I'm not sure what evidence they could provide to the contrary but I'm far from an expert. It sounds like this has been a bit of a waste of time.

They'll provide evidence in the form of their sales script from the time and their documentation informing you that the PPI was not mandatory.

Thats a pity as I genuinely felt pressured at the time to take out the insurance. Out of interest, what are the more valid reasons for a claim?

Complaints in which you can provide documentary evidence to back up your assertions are far more likely to be upheld in the first instance. Where you unable to ever claim on the insurance due to pre-existing medical condition, for example.
