Good evening
Another exciting day in the world of lucy, more stroppy teenagers at work... the joys! I don't envy parents at all - at least I only deal with them7 hours a day!
Been a busy couple of days, but sticking to my plans and getting the cleaning/washing/tidying done after work finishes so far. I know it's still early (2nd day back) but it's better than last time! Leftovers for tea tonight and the washing to sort, before tackling my next pile of marking...
Hugs and good wishes to any and all

Jackie - your builder sounds really good.
DS1 really enjoyed his volunteering today, he did some abseiling, climbing and apparently the tutor was really impressed with him for encouraging other people to have a go. He also got a merit for bringing real food in, i.e a sandwich and fruit!
He can't wait to go back tomorrow.
Ds2 enjoyed school to, he was a bit out of sorts because his rountine has changed. One of the year 4 teachers has left so a supply teacher was in. Oh and i picked him so he was telling me off for leaving the house. :rotfl: He was so cute i couldn't help smiling.
Rant alert:
Well i my OH idn 't come back as early as planned, in fact he's still out fitting an extractor fan. Poor thing will be exhausted when he comes back.
Checked the mince and its gone off, i mean it was completely rancid. So the cats are gutted as they didn't get it either.
So decided to get some frozen chips and scampi out for dinner, just shoved them in the oven.
I am absolutely exhausted, i walked round the school to get ds2 took me 15 minutes to walk 100 yards and another 15 mins to get back. I ended up fallinf asleep watching star wars:o so missed obi getting darf maul.
My neighbour who saw me said next time just ask me and i'll pick him up for you. Our children are in the same year at school and they live over the road from so i know who they are. Were not close friends but we talk to each other.
Anyway'd i asked my supposed friend to collect ds2, she's the one i mentioned who earlier who came for a coffee and said oh i don't do school runs so do it yourself. I was fuming, yesterday i waddled to her house after she quit her new job and really helped sorting stuff out with her so her claim jsa wasn't mucked up on and sort some things out for a visa.
It literally takes two minutes, well for someone who can walk, to get round the corner to the school. I used to set off at 2:58pm and at the school bang on 3pm. But would she do something for me no, instead i walked in absolute agony in the cold rain. Best thing is her children are 16 and 12 and both of them were at school. shows what kind of friend she is.
sorry all i'm just angry, today was the first time i ever asked her for a favour. I have known her 9 nine years and have been there for her through and thing. From her first husbands illness, financially, you name it.0 -

Late one today
I had a really bad night because of the pain in my knees and hands and took some more Tramadol then went back to bed when DH left for work. I didn't get up until 11.30am
Marie I am so sorry for your loss (((((Hugs)))))
Jools I am glad that the insurance company paid up and that you don't have the worry of the funeral bill.
Kezlou I had a so called friend like that who had been slanging me off to all and sundry and I had helped her out so many times over seventeen years of a so called friendship.... what a user and I was sadly blind to it. I haven't spoken to her in four years and will never ever forgive her.
Oh well I am off to get my nightie on. I am aiming for an early night, hopefully I will get some sleep.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Evening everyone
Not had much chance to post but have been reading over last few days.
Had another run in with ds1, he was shouting and banging about the house saying that my dh had wound him up earlier. dh is finding it hard having him living here, he is not very relaxing to be around and never has been. I just feel like I am trying to keep everybody happy and not succeeding, it is just causing me stress. anyway enough of my problems.
It was my first day of work at my new job. I had a a lovely day, enjoyed being back in the classroom. I was just very nervous around new people(adults) especially after how I was treated in my last job. I have never felt like this before, so know it stems from then.

So it's our last day here and we fly home tomorrow afternoon. I've had a fab holiday but am ready to get home and get on with real life.
Just braved the scales and I've managed to stay the same weight as when I left so very pleased with myself. It has been very warm though and have done lots of exercise. Looking forward to getting home and running outside. It's far too warm for that here.
Off to an exercise class with my dil this morning which we enjoy.
Can't say I'm looking forward to the plane journey but hey it's only 24 hrs.
Also looking forward to posting when your all awake
