:rotfl:
He keeps crying as he's holding on. He will not go. Thing is, have to do the school runs later so will have to puts nappy on him, or risk the car seat. No doubt he will wait till he has a nappy on. Gah.
Jools, glad you've got some money through. x

Morning all
(((((jools))))), and (((((marie))))) sorry to hear about your loss x
My sleep patterns are terrible mixed up at the momentI could not get to sleep last night, think I drifted off bout 3am, and slept til almost 11am today. Now I'm not the best sleeper at times but I never have issues falling asleep, I tend to wake mid-way through the night normally. I didn't even have naps yesterday so not sure why I couldn't sleep <insert confused smiley>. Hopefully it will pass soon.
So still in bed at the momentjust surfing the net whilst I rest. I have free tickets to go see Les Miserables at cinema tonight
so if I feel okay later I may venture out to see it with a friend. If not I'll pass the tickets on to a friend.
The last remaining bulb in my lounge just blew this morning  there seems to be a fault with the light there as all 3 have blown in last few days, it happened before. So somehow need to get that sorted, will ring landlord. But may ask neighbour to put new bulbs in for me as I can't quite look up at moment!
OS wise - WM just finished, will put it on radiators in a bit. Dishes to wash. LO HM chilli to use up today, will prob have on jacket spud.
Have a good day all

put a couple of towels on the carseat for him to sit on and take a change of clothes. its a battle of wills if he know what to do. tried the sitting with him, reading a story etc whilst on the toilet/potty? take his mind off it while he goes?"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
Hi all
I've finally succumbed to the cold that's doing the rounds; no idea if I picked it up in the supermarket, the pub, or if Mr LW brought the germs home. Mr LW's going to get some whisky at lunch time so that we can have proper hot toddies tonight.;)
That's the best part of having a cold LW, my DH makes scrummy hot toddies! Hope you feel better soon, and please don't stop sharing your wise wolfie words with all of us posters & lurkers.0 -

Jools ((hugs))) - i think i would be the same as you.
emsf - glad your OH is taking care of your foot.
Mrs MH - honestly i was that tempted with my youngest when he was potty training
LW - oo your making me jealous hmm hot whiskey. you know i may have to buy some dark rum and do the same.
Now thats a thought with the wheelchair, ahh sweet revenge.
Been a lazy day here, my friend just left, she came for an hour and left. I jokingly said to her about picking ds2 and she was about deadly serious about not picking him up. Hmm thanks makes who will help you in a crisis.
Mr Lou has been out working all day, he just popped back to see if i was okay. He was at home when i jokingly said to my friend about picking ds2 up. Lets just say his face went red with anger at her. HE just phoned to say to me your never speaking to her again the b!tch what kind of friend is she. She knows you can't walk. Fingers crossed he'll be back for 3pm but if not i'm going to take my first walk out to the school. Its about 100 yards from our house so its not to far. Scary though walking out on my own.
OS for today, got some bread rising reading to in the own for later. Mince defrosted for tea, going to check its alright first as its been in there a while. So probably have spag bol or mince and dumplings for tea.0 -

Afternoon All
MM - So sorry, what a shock.
Jools - I would be the same, glad the financial side is ok though, that's a weight off your mind.
FB - Hope tonight's better for you.
LW - Had to chuckle at the thought of the wheelchair with blades!
Busy day at work, my timetable has been changed so didn't know if I was coming or going! Went for a swim after work, 30 lengths which was quite good considering I haven't been for an age.
Some sort of mexican bean bake for tea, DD left a recipe so will try that, she's being so good on this diet that I can't deny her something she fancies. Always good to have something new anyway.
Washing up to date, need to push the hoover about and then some knitting later.
Take care. XX0 -
It awful at times not only going through grief but the finacial side of things can be quite harrowing for the ones left behind <hugs> to you Jools I am thinking of you honey, also unclebryn and you to M/marie what a dreadful shock for your SIL and the rest of your family as well.
Well I must say I had a lovely day at Maidstone with DD and I think I have put her in a cheerful frame of mind at least She has two interviews tomorrow one at 10.30 and one at 1.00,so I have everything crossed for her.Sadly there are so many folk looking for work at the moment even in the south where we live times are tough.
My lovely builder Keith has done a super job so far and three quarters of the tiles are off the wall and the washhand basin and bath are gone so all thats in the bathroom at the moment is the loo and the radiator and a few tiles and there coming off tomorrow
The joiner came today to take the stair rail off whilst I was out and he too did a grand job and never made much mess The stairlift goes in tomorrow morning, so I'll have the builder in the bathroom, and the stair chaps on the stairs, and at lunchtime I have the window man coming to check my front door as its been leaking slightly, luckily its still under guarantee.I will have the neighbours tongues wagging with all these chaps too-ing and fro-ing through my front doorGood job I'm not in the slighest bit bothered and to be the talk of the wash house was always my ambition
:)
Right I'm off to find something to eat from the freezer
have a good evening everyone:)

Today I need to get on. House needs a good going over. Trying to potty train the toddler. He's 4 in April. He knows what to do. He just won't. Stubborn so & so.
All back at school now. It's the toddlers day off nursery today.
Right, I must get on. Find my mojo...!
Take care all
Love, hugs and spoons

i know you dont need advice.. but what i did what all three of mine was have a packet of buttons in a pot and every time something was done in the potty they got a choc button. every time they used the toilet they got two. then when they were trained (as this system cant go on for life!!) i bought them each a gift from the pound shop as an " im trained" present and explained that the choc buttons were for babies. it worked for me. also as the other lady said. put a few old towels in the car seat/pushchair and dont put a nappy on. assume that they will wee and then your not upset when it happens. also ... dont know if you have other children but i have an 18,15 and an 8 year old and potty training was the worst thing ever. it gets easier after this!!
sorry that turned into a parenting rant:p:p
had toad in the hole for tea with roast pots veg and onion gravy. it was delish but i ate far too much. slimming world is going very very badly. infact im only managing up til lunch each day and then i seem to go mad. had a good day all day yesterday then ate two twix bars and a whole pack of biscuits.:(
dd2 started her exams today and has three tomorrow. i dont envy her.
have a good day everyone0
