Well DH will be home tomorrow night, hes been on a jolly for 2 and a bit weeks, he escorted my parents home from there stay here, and then spent some time with his family, then made a trip to cornwall to stay with his mate for a few days, hes now back with his parents and has a nasty cough caught no doubt by slumming it at his pals who has no heat and lots of animals about the place, he is allergic to pet hair so hes been suffering a bit.
Had lots of expense this month so not able to do very much, car mainly tax and insurance and some things to get it through the nct (irish version of mot)
its still not fixed and to add to things the driverside window decides its not working anymore. DS1 has fixed it so it wont come down at all, thats going to be fun at the car park at the airport tomorrow :rotfl:
Havent mentioned that to DH yet!!!
Moneywise skint for a couple more weeks at least !!:(

Well not so good news here Im flying back early tomorrow morning. Mums brother has been unwell and is currently not expected to make it through the next day or so. This is the problem which sends mum into a bad state with her mental health so Im over to support dad and my sister as we know this can escalate badly from previous episodes. She seems ok at the mo but its a slow burner.
Moneywise was tight and now even tighter. DH only got back late Tuesday and Im off tomorrow, still Im needed so will plod on. Hope everyone is doing ok rainy horrid day here today.:(

Wow Turfy, I thought I'd had a bad start to the year losing my mother-in-law and my dad within 8 days of each other (still got the funerals to come).

Chin up, you can make it through this in one piece. We are all here to support you.

Hello folks sorry Ive been totally missing in action for around 18 months now. Life has well and truly got in the way. I am a single gal again since April 16. To say its been a tough time doesnt cut it really. You just couldn't make it up!! My dear husband decided to return to the uk, house has been on the market since, he moved in with a family member which in turn has split the family and completely devastated my parents. Kids are doing ok, DS1 in Seattle in his third year of uni on placement with Boeing. DD is in her last year at Limerick uni and DS2 is still at school for another 3 years. To cap it all my dear dog died last November so I still miss her. Making more frequent trips to the uk these days and have been working in a local hotel for over a year now, hard work, tiring and not great hours but keeps me busy which is a must for the head space. Hope everyone is doing ok, just wanted to keep you all posted, probably thought Id left the planet....
