Thanks for the new thread, and what an eventful weekend everyone has had with cars, illness and all sorts. I hope it's a good week for everyone.

After my whinge on Friday, I am pretty pleased with how the weekend has gone. "Highlights" include:
    - took down tree and decorations (boo hoo), put all away but sorted out all boxes and bags, throwing away anything too tatty so it takes up less room and will be easy for next year.
    - hoovered and polished downstairs after de-decorating
    - took apart Xmas flower wreaths/arrangements/advent ring, put all re-usables in newly cleared cupboard (now no longer horseware cupboard).
    - emptied and sorted hat/glove/scarf drawer in hall which is quite a marathon as our hobbies, past and present, include riding (horses and motor bikes), gardening, ski-ing not to mention venturing out in rural English winters. Threw out anything too tatty or unpaired, hoovered drawer.
    - most of Christmas food/edible presents now gone, which means I can start recording my food intake on the calorie-counting web site again without constantly looking up various types of chocolate and noting down how many squares I ate!! Yes I know it sounds OTT but it enabled me to lose 8lb before Xmas and I plan to lose a few more.

This week, apart from trying to stick to the schedule, I've got a few long-term projects to think about (possible new job; new kitchen, holiday, various small garden projects).

Not to mention the aim to NOT sit up late reading this site so I'm late to bed and end up oversleeping.............

    good luck everyone.

Thanks for the new thread, my first week as a non-lurker (assuming I survive, lol!)

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
Clean floors in these rooms (Will have to find them first, lol!)
    Level Two
    Clear and clean kitchen surfaces
    Clean cupboard door fronts
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table, polish if required (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
    Clean fronts of appliances
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky

    Extra Mission:
    Choose one or more of:
    Clean inside of fridge
Clean a window or 2 in these rooms done today (Sun) yay!

Notes: Dining room has been a dumping ground for ages, so am mainly hoping to tackle that to “catch up” with those who are in the swing of things.

Am quite scared – it’s v. daunting, and I feel like there are tons of thing I should be doing in EVERY room tomorrow but I guess one room at a time keeps it achievable as I will be looking after my 3 littlies at the same time. Wish me luck!

  • Thanks Natty, I'm in on level 1 minimum with S&S all round. and thanks for the notes about cupboard tops, going to print it off and hilight it for DD2 and 3 to look at (all aboard the Guilt Trip :rotfl:)

DD1 travels back to Uni, DD2 at college, DD3 at school and DS at nursery, it will be a quiet day in the Skint Ritz tomorrow, so hopefully if I can do a HHC or two it will be more Skint Ritz than Skint Pitz:D

Froddy how about, Chaos, Mischief and Mayhem for the 3 little ratties?

No flying by night, just going to try to sleep without suffocating....feels like a sauna in here tonight

PS Welcome to all the new flyladies/flygents/flymates, don't be overwhelmed, a little bit each day will make a difference...promise;)

    nighty night
The cold never bothered me anyway

    Morning All

Well I'm up and raring to go - NOT! DH's alarm woke me up at 2 and I've only catnapped ever since - been up for a while now and had a bath but that's as far as the motivation goes! DS is up but DD is still asleep so I need to get her up soon as we'll be leaving in about an hour.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

    Morning all

    Thanks for the thread Natty

DS3 had one of his bad dreams night so sleep has not been very refreshing.

DS2 back to school today. I'll sort a list in a bit, packup and laundry first.
