I have a cheap Navigo unit bought from ebuyer. The case is identical to the garmin units. Which cost double when i bought mine.
I have Turbodog, TomTom, Route66, Igo and several other maps all on the SD card.
It plays music and video's, Bluetooth and a radio transmitter, A bargain at £40.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks for the input, folks. The car is a Hyundai ix35, and the maps are downloaded directly from Navteq to a usb stick and updated by the user; the software is locked to the car's VIN, so no chance of a second hand copy.
I realise it was never going to be a cheap option, but I do think it's a poor show that you don't get one free update, to keep it current for a whole year, especially when the maps are generally a year or so behind real life in any case.
The unit does run Windows CE, so with a bit of tweaking you could get it to run any software you like, but I don't fancy risking that just yet!0
