Morning all
Hope you start to feel more settled soon Jools ((hugs)) xxx
Am being good with my meal planning. Housework has fallen behind. Need to get back on track. Should get back into a routine this week as the children go back to school.
Managed to get the toddler to go on the potty yesterday. Hopefully, slowely, we will get there.
Right, must dry my hair and pop to the shop.
We have beef for dinner this evening with all the trimmings. There's still lots of Christmas sweets around for pudding.
Take care all

Morning all
((((jools))))
Feeling less sore today but a bit tired. I had a lovely day yesterday, my friend came over for the afternoon/night to keep me company. We just hung out watching films, and he made me dinner, well we went to Asda and got a fresh pizza but he made salad and potato wedges to go with it! It was nice to be looked after. I attempted driving yesterday too, and survived it! I only went to the corner shop 2 mins away, but wanted to attempt it so I know I can do it.
As nice as yesterday was I'm a bit over visitors nowI plan on locking out the world today and just chilling on sofa and napping. My parents offered to come round, but I told them I'd rather be on my own. I have LO food to heat up for lunch and salad too. And then will have freezer meal for tea.
Have a good day all

Good afternoon everyone
I am pathetic and feel very sorry for myself, throat sore, head aching and pain in joints. I need to have a shower, get dressed and get outside for a hour or two.
DD loved my new scarf and I ended up giving to her, now she wants a matching headband. BargainBird is the pattern for the flower headband online and if so, could you post a link please?
Jools, I remember that feeling well. The once it's all over, what do you do now feeling. After my dad, then my mum, then my grandmother died, I spent weeks sorting out stuff that did not need sorting just for something to do. DH came home to find everything in a different cupboard or furniture rearranged. It sounds silly but keeping busy was the only thing that worked for me. I hope you find something to take that awful empty feeling away. Love and hugs to you and the kids.
I must get the first lot of washing out as I can see the sun breaking out and DH is doing the ironing, then we will go and get that much needed fresh air.
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Afternoon all
I'm determined to get myselfn sorted today. So far, two beds stripped, washed and (whisper it) on the line. Know they won't dry "dry" but will feel fresher. DS's remaining posessions which he couldn't take back with him sorted either for posting or for us to take when we visit hopefully next month. One charity bag for collection filled, one bag to take to CS filled, bag of tins for Foodbank sorted and some good trousers that need altering put in bag to take tomorrow. Chicken in the oven. Having a cuppa, then off to sort work clothes out for next week, clean the bathroom, and sort the coat cupboard so that you can actually put some coats in it!
Jules xx

Hi all
GWS vibes to all coldy and fluey OS-ers.:o
Nmlc I think by now I'd have started just cooking for me, and let DH get his own food, if he's never satisfied with what you make. Anyways, have a lovely birthday tomorrow.
JackieO posi-vibes for Tessa – hope her interview goes well. I can't recall when you said it is, but if I say this now, it saves me forgetting later.;)
Jools, what you said about the anticlimactic emptiness is pretty much the same as my friend said after her DH's funeral, so I guess it's a normal feeling under the circumstances. Have a Wolfy (((HUG))).:o
Not forgetting unclebryn; a (((HUG))) for you too.:o
Flutterby a day chillin' by yourself sounds like a good plan; sometimes visitors, however well-meaning, can be tiring.
Mr LW wanted to visit the pub last night, and as usual, I bluffed my way through the evening, then spent the entire night “reliving” every conversation, worrying if I said/did anything stupid, or offended anyone:(:( – I get this type of fallout every single time we go; but I don't like to refuse to go, even though I'd far sooner stay home, because Mr LW won't go out without me.
I did get to meet a beautiful little Border Terrier named Bess, though.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Its a dreadful feeling that 'I'm lost can someone find me please' feeling that comes when you have lost someone close.I have been widowed 10 years this year and it still seems sometimes I could almost walk in and see him sitting in his chair asking 'where the paper is for his crossword and can he have a cuppa please'.I spent over two thirds of my life with my late OH and will always feel as though a bit of me is missing. You do learn to live with it and I do have so many good memories of our lives together and the best thing of all is our two Dds who are his greatest legacy to me.I only have to see the youngest to see his eyes and humour, and the eldest to see his sense of courtesy and responsibility .
I am so lucky to have two smashing children who have so much of him in them,(even though they are 45 & 43 now ) they will always be our kids.
So I am sending you lots of positive <<hugs>> Jools and unclebryn and hopefully you will come through the other side of the 'lost feeling'
Just off to youngest Dds to make doughnuts with her and the boys followed by wicked game of scrabble between DD and I, then dinner this evening.
Take care all and hug your loved ones whilst you can

TTFTM - I used this one but added a different flower.
Had a lovely day so far...had a row with DH <rolls eyes>. I wouldn't wash up the bits in the sink, so he he said he'd smash em, so i said i that mkes you happy crack on...which he did...told him if he thinks i'm clearing it up he's wrong...it's swept up and tidy now (pr1ck).
Have made 4 more corsages..might put them in the shop for the donations pot. Just need buttons and backs putting on em.
I'm enjoying citv retro weekend...raggy dolls, rainbow, super gran etcYou know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket
