Who's the best mobile phone provider?

After me informing them about having my mobile phone account hacked into, Vodaphone's only response was to twice tell me that the person responsible is apparently 'very nice and polite'. So, I am switching providers.
So who is best for Customer Services please? All I can find on the forums is criticism but would like to hear positive recommendations if anyone has had good experiences.
Many thanks!

    I'm with Ovivo.

I get free phone calls, texts and data each month - yep £0 per month. CS respond quickly to email queries.

    What's not to like?

All the networks have good and bad customer service (well, except GiffGaff that doesn't actually have a customer service department you can phone).

Everybody will have a different answer, I have had terrible service from O2 and Vodafone (ps is spelt with an "f" not a "ph"), and some excellent service from T-Mobile and 3UK.

The next poster will probably say the exact opposite.

I find 02 good, only thing i dont like is they tend to be dearer than say tesco but then you can go into an 02 shop with a problem and cant with tesco.

I would never go into a contract with 3.
  • Just escaped from 3 and looking for a new network too. I wud say avoid 3 at all costs hav heard O2 good so I'm prepared to pay an extra few pounds for cust service.

I must be the only person who rates Vodafone

I get the £42 / per month contract for £21 ..And compared to T mobile I generally get a good signal .

It really is suck it and see with providers

I have been with T-Mobile for 10 years now, and very rarely have problems.

Although I have an Ovivo sim as a 2nd line and am very tempted to say goodbye to paying for my mobile usage, even if it is only £7.50 a month SIM only.

I've signed up to Which? at the moment because I have something important to purchase and needed the trial.

I've looked on the mobile phone network supplier ratings and apparently with a 66% rating, 02 and Tesco Mobile are joint first place, the difference between the brands seems to be that 02 offer better incentives (assuming this is the freebie offers they have rather then incentives to try to sign you to another few years!) and Tesco flopping slightly on this. O2 apparently have worse UK call costs compared to Tesco.

Looking down the chart the worst with 54% is Talkmobile with Vodaphone and 3 only just 1% better then Talkmobile at 55%.

Customer service wise, both 3 and Talkmobile have scored just two stars so are the worst of the bunch.

I know O2 is more expensive but even before seeing this chart I'd opt for them as customer service is a big issue for me too after way too long with 3 mobile and hating it! I've been with 02 before and know plenty of people who use them and all seem to have better experiences then I ever had with 3, even the incentives 3 threw at me were complete lies- it's all very well being promised things but if the promises are lies it's pretty pointless.

O2's customer service department seems to be UK based and that's important to me. I can usually get through on the phone although they are a bit rubbish at logistics.
My upgrade handset needs a micro SIM and so I asked them to send me one. No problem, it was in the post same day but they switched my old SIM off as soon as they posted the new one and I lost service (and all my contacts) because I had no warning to back them up.

I get a £5 per month discount for having my broadband with o2 as well.
