And this OFT document is directed at sellers...

Given the OP had to ask, I would suggest the answer is No.

If the answer to either part is no, then you customer has up to 3 months and 7 days in which to cancel and you must refund them in full (and not by way of a credit note) within 30 days of them contacting you with regards to wanting to return the goods.
I'm quoting this as I am unable to give it the double thanks it deserves. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
Why not just tell us your the seller in the first place? Despite it being a consumer rights board we don't dislike retailers and often defend them if they have done nothing wrong

I kinda wanted it to be impartial if that makes sense, thanks for your advice and input btw and to all the others who haven't been rude which doesn't actually surprise me when there are computers to hide behind :-/
The easiest thing IS to refund (we don't have a feedback option) but I was rather put out with regards to the manner in which the item was just returne without any correspondence!!
Looks like I'll be unable to put my foot down - this time

My post was in no way rude. It wasn't me who was pretending to be something they weren't and not being upfront with fellow posters who, like me, were only interested in offering you constructive and helpful advice. I won't be making that mistake with you going forward.0

I was offered constructive and helpful advise!
What difference does it make if I'm the seller? I haven't been on here for years, I was [wrongly] under the impression that the *side* was that of the consumer, hence why I didn't say I was the seller in the first place!
Your comment on post #19 was rude and unnecessary, if you needed to make comment that I didn't admit to that it the first place all you ha to say was "we would have given the same advise if you were the seller" just as another poster did!:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! If you didn't give your buyer the info that I stated earlier then refunding is the legal thing to do.which doesn't actually surprise me when there are computers to hide behind :-/
Surely you must see the irony in that quote, coming as it does from someone who hid behind their computer and pretended to be a consumer rather than a retailer.0 -

Which is the advice I was looking for - thank you.shaun_from_Africa wrote: »Surely you must see the irony in that quote, coming as it does from someone who hid behind their computer and pretended to be a consumer rather than a retailer.
Whilst I see your point it's not quite the same thing - I wasn't hiding, as I said above I was under the impression that you guys were consumer biased, my intention is (and always was) to do the right thing but I wanted to know what the advice to the buyer would be (I understand that legally it's the same thing). Whilst I was completely honest with *who* I wasn't my intention was never to deceive (if that makes sense)!
All that said, I would have done the same online / over the phone / in person, I didn't hide behind a computer screen to do it which is the point I was making about being rude.:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob!
