Can I ask about cereal bars? My LO was complaining about getting hungry at school, so he started taking a cereal bar to school with him, but they're quite expensive.
Does anyone know of any health nutritious recepies for cereal bars? We went to buy ingredients to make flapjack yesterday, but it seems to work out just as expensive.

Just giving a heads up, Morrisons no longer accepts the Cravendale Free Milk Friday vouchers! Sainsbury's still does though, thank goodness.

€283.18/€600 spent so far this month. This includes toiletries, pet foods, cleaning stuff and food for 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 teens. I work full-time and by the time I get home DH has done dinner for himself and 2 kids (eldest away at uni in the week). If I was at home and cooking more, I could stretch the budget further as I'm good at disguising leftovers!!

Hello everyone, a 3rd NSD for me again today. I 've just made a nice pan of Moroccan Chick Pea Soup and a Beef Hot Pot. The soup should last about 3/4 days and the Hot Pot 2 days (2nd day will go in freezer).

I have my bowl out and ready to make pancakes for DH and me. I think we are just having traditonal sugar & lemon.

After all that lot, it's a jolly good job we're going swimming this evening:D I think we will need to do at least 40 lengths:D

  • £43.27 spent in Aldi today. Just to make myself feel better - I did the same 'shop' on mysupermarket.com and it totalled £63+ so I'm rather pleased with myself!
Trying to save up for a deposit for a mortgage....could be a while!!

Comping since 15/06/2014 - thanks to all those who post the competitions ❤️😀
  • Afternoon everyone. A very cheesed off Kitchenbunny reporting in a tiny spend of £2.51 after an incredibly rubbish day at work. And tomorrow looks to be equally yuck - I treated myself to a jar of Mr T Value Chocolate Spread, some lemon juice for pancakes tonight, and a bag of quinoa (as I'm incredibly curious about what it is/how it tastes). Just had 2 slices of bread smothered in chocolate spread and it isn't too bad. That's another keeper to go with the peanut butter and mixed fruit jam.

I've got to stir myself to make a cheese & bacon pancake bake for tea but have very little inclination to do anything after today's debacle. Hope everyone else has had a better day - I'm off to update my sig.

  • NSD for a change for me today! Got £72 left in my grocery purse to last until 28th Feb with 2 big shops to go, so I'm actually feeling quite hopeful of coming in on target this month.Got loads of stuff in the freezer including several portions of spanish pork, lasagne, cauliflower, potato and chickpea curry and home made pie so should mainly just need f&v and pack up stuff. I started off this month by doing a big Aldee and B&M shop for storecupboard stuff so have only had 'extras' to buy each week so I think that way of shopping has suited me better.

That's all for now, must get back to my 17p Lid! chocolate.......:rotfl:
