    Hi everyone,

    Budgets done to here :)

    Welcome to:
Sun Addict, Boodle, Lady Muck and mooomin :D

Got the DMirror yesterday and went to my 'local' A!di this morning. It's 8 miles each way so not exactly local, but I'm fed up of spending so much in the major SMs and feeling like I'm getting less and less every week. Was using my calculator on the way round to make sure I had at least £40 in my trolley. Ended up spending £50.94 reduced to £45.94 with the voucher. I reckon it would have been £70 easily in T's for the same goods.

Popped to T's express on the way home for a loo roll glitch. Got 28 rolls for £5.18 - that expense is from 2nd purse though ;)

DH is off today so we have had lunch out (different budget) and I'm so full after my jacket potato that I'm not going to have any dinner. HM pizzas for DH, DS1 and DD. DS2 at a friends tonight.

Afternoon :D I just thought I'd pop on to post my spends for today. I've not done badly all things considered. :) I've bought:

Beans, White Chocolate, Stock Cubes, Ground Cumin, Coriander and Ginger, a pack of cooking bacon, a punnet of mushrooms, a loaf of wholemeal bread and a dozen eggs. A very good haul, I think. I spent £9.11, so I'll update my total now. :)

Tea tonight will be some baguette pizzas. I'm going to try and cost them as an exercise in frugality. :) Tomorrow is my day for meal planning, checking cupboards and writing my shopping list for next week. I hope everyone has a good evening.

Had the last of the HM fruit cake for breakfast with custard. :(
Elevenses - found a small kit kat - so that was nice with a cup of tea. :D
Lunch was beans on HM bread toasted and a satsuma.
Dinner tonight - HM mince pie with roast potatoes, roast parsnip, savoy cabbage, carrots and gravy.
Will add spends to total when Mr F gets home with shopping.
I will have to get some chicken out of the freezer tonight for tomorrow's stir fry dinner. Also out will come a couple of HM muffins for breakfast.

  • Hi Everyone
Sorry I havent been here for last week or so, crazy busy at work - hubby working 200 miles away for the next month so I am everything to everyone at the moment....exhausted! He's back tonight for a couple of days....and breathe!!!

Jan's figure was great - £170 under budget but I did have a stocked

Well had a couple of spends this week.

DH went to MrM on Wednesday for some milk and took advantage of the half price salmon and on offer custard so total £17.54 then.

I've bought bread today so £2.20 spent.

Total £19.74 this week which is OK as the salmon will last us for ages.

    £107.24 so far for Feb.

    Spends for today:

This is for: eggs, frozen raw prawns (these we buy when on offer and will make easy 2 fish pies and maybe a stir-fry too (if not, more fish pies!)), parmesan , dried mushrooms , demerara, onions, basil, 1 pepper and a garlic bread stick. All but the eggs and prawns were bought by OH, although he tries he is less concerned by the GC challenge :o

£20.21 (parmesan and dried mushrooms alone came to £6.39!!!)

This is a total of £109.75 since 23rd Jan... I am doubtful we'll come in under this month !

  • Evening everyone :) Another 2 days of spends for me, last night more RTC at work, had to be done! Spent £4.94 and £1.49, bought some items then realised I needed other stuff. Went out today to return some t-shirts and spent £6.00 in Asda, was quite good and bought a make your own pizza for tomorrow night instead of getting takeout. Spent £2.70 at the market - not sure if I saved money, got about 4-5 parsnips, a green/purple cabbage and 4-5 onions. Never mind :) Anyway updated signature.

Done my first big shop in a while as things were getting a bit desperate. We had run out of meat completely so we were starting to feel a bit deprived and I really don't want that to happen as the family are really on board and I want it to stay that way:)

Got two copies of the Mirror yesterday for the Ald* vouchers and the plan is to do two stock up shops and then hopefully get to the end of the month by just buying fruit, veg and fresh bits.

Had a really good restock of tins, coffee, cereal, bread, milk ,flour, juice, pasta super 6 veg etc as well a bag of frozen chicken breasts and three packs of essentials mince (they have often sold out of this so I grabbed while it was there). Total spend with my voucher deducted was £36.40 so I was really pleased as I seemed to have a huge amount of stuff.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
