Or do it the MSE way and ask your ISP for one FOC...

I just want one quickly as the household are getting annoyed at me.

BT Voyager 105 isn't compatible with windows vista and is no longer supported by Aol.Aol upgraded my voyager modem for free when they stopped supporting it.If your still with Aol speak to them and they may replace it for free.

I guess it will do no harm asking. Hopefully I am as lucky as you were.

You don't have to be 'lucky'. if you are out of minimum term and say that you will have to ask for your MAC unless they can give you a new router, then TT will give you one FOC.

14 years with ISP, so I think I can safely say i'm out of contract although at the moment they are leaving me unlimited for £11 a month and I know people who they've limited and charged more, so i'm not wanting to rock that boat by reminding them I exist.

This one from your list...think I may go for that and I have someone coming down at the weekend who works with PC's who is going to sort out PSU and moving my HDD to new machine IF the old PSU has fried the old PC and he says he will help with router and bring one with him, although no harm in getting another cheapie just in case?

Not necessarily out of minimum term, it depends when you last updated your tariff or package. That often starts a new minimum term.

Still years ago - 4 or 5 i'd say. They updated me from 2mb to 8mb max speed back then (free without me asking) . Not contacted them for anything for even longer.

I've still not got it sorted.

I just phoned AOL's infamous tech support who told me that neither the belkin or netgear router had any support from them anymore. She did offer me some settings but told me to leave the password blank??

Then she proceeded to try and get me to upgrade and sign a new contract to get an AOL supported router!

EDIT - I've sorted it- her settings were totally wrong, I played a little bit and I then randomly got it right :o
