I have now cut out enough triangles for 75 meters of bunting, only 425 meters to go! MIL to be is kindly sewing them up for me, faster than I can cut them!

I am now kind of thinking I want to make my own wedding cupckakes and cake topper to, but H2B is worried I am giving myself too much to do!

I make cupcakes for friends/family etc as a very small business and I can tell you if you plan to make your own cupcakes then consider the time you have. This may sound like a cheats way (and I feel dirty even saying it lol) but it might be worth sampling the basic sponge mixes that the supermarkets do. I tried the morrisons one the other night (wasn't awful, but you can taste the difference) but it could pass as an "ok". The costs are minimal in comparison to "from scratch" and take about 2 minutes to mix together and about 15 minutes to bake. Besides not tasting amazing though, the preservatives will keep them fresher for longer so would give you an opportunity to bake a day or two in advance...I have considered this option but really don't want to give me friends and family store bought mix when I make them all the time

    Quick question DIY'ers...

Any idea where we can print up some thank you folded cards with a photo on and blank inside so I can write a message. Had a look at vistaprint and I have an email for 10 free - but just wondering if anyone had found anywhere else?

    Thanks, Bexsmum x

    Ladies and Gents,

Now married off but I really wanted to share my little 2 penny worth!

I made soooo much stuff myself it got a bit out of hand to be honest, but I have to say that the compliments I, other half and parents received over everything was so lovely.

If you have the time and the ability - do it. I recommend it, its worth seeing everyone's face on the day when they realise its all your hard work.

We definitely saved A LOT of money by doing as much as we could, and everything was how I imagined it to be (unlike the flowers which weren't what I asked for whatsoever but thats a whole other story!)

If anyone wants ideas, let me know and I will post some photos of my makes.

Ooo yes please would love to see some photos

No Nightsky - not particularly. I bought the pocketfolds, the gold & silver card, envelopes all from pdacardandcraft after othere recommended them on here. I even made sure the gold card was cut to size by them to save some time/effort. The printed part I designed on Publisher and printed off. I then stuck everything together with double side tape.

I bought a hot fix applicator off ebay to clag the diamantes on - then ended up glueing the tiny ones on by hand as there wasn't enough glue on hot fix ones as they were so small!. That part was a labour of love NOT!! 10 tiny 1mm diamantees per invite - 30 day, 120 night and then all the extra info's, rsvp etc. I'm still finding them in the carpet now :rotfl:

    Here are my STD's
    STD1_zpsbcbfe07c.jpg

These were vistaprint magnets, stuck onto printed card as I was sure they would go awol if I posted them as they are quite small.

If you need any help with anything just shout out if I can help, and explain in layman's terms it would be my pleasure :)
