has anyone stuck diamantes onto shoes? im wondering what kind of glue i would need. Any suggestions?0
-
sorry cant help with shoes - i did stick some on a tshirt this weekend though. My trial run with my bridesmaid PJ tops went okish - ill try and explain how to do it for anyone who is intested (sorry forgot to take pics).
First of all decide what font you want and what you want it to say and how big etc, (i found the that fancier the writing the harder it is, so for my next one i am doing plain ariel bold font)
i typed it in Wordart on publisher - i then managed to flip it horizontal? so it looked like mirror image - printed it out.
Then what i did was stuck it down with selotape to a board (i used my kitchen cutting board) and then got the transfer paper, peeled it back and then stuck that down - sticky side up. I then got the hot fix rhinestones / diamontes and stuck them diamonte / colour side down over the writing. (ive figured out the bigger the stones the easier it is)
Hope this isnt too confusing.
once they were all in place (this was very fiddly as i have false nails on and i ended up using my eyebrow tweezers) i then took the tape off and stuck the transfer paper down on to the tshirt, sticky side down and went over with an iron. The results were ok - not as a planned as the writing made it quite unreadable so i have learnt to use bold plain writing and bigger gems, next time i do them i shall take pics and upload them all. But there you have it! Hopefully it'll be of some use to someone x0
