It always amazes me how it is often the ones who needs support the most who are the most grateful when they finally get it, whilst those who have the least needs moaning the loudest.

Thanks FBaby It's made ds a lot happier too so he's calmer at home now Looking forward to getting the overnights back in September, which will now be for a 24 hour period rather than from4pm to 10am :j

Goodness Shegirl - what a dreadful mess up. I didn't realise the thread was so old until I got to the end (often miss the detail being partially sighted!).

I hope life settles down for you & your DS & you get to enjoy your time off. I have a teen who has developed some MH issues over the last 12 months & as a single parent with no family, I've found it a struggle at times. But nothing like you've had to put up with from those who are supposed to help - I take my hat off to you.

No practical help to offer at all, but wanted to say hello.

Just been offered our overnights back starting next week I burst into tears as last week while on holiday he was detained under the mental health act and we had to leave and go to a place of safety, then were sent home the following day with nothing in place...

Over the bloody moon :j Now we just need to team up to kick the backsides of the failing mental health services who keep letting him down!

Unfortunately that is par for the course!! I could write a book on the times that I was sent home from hospital with no one giving a rats **** if my beloved wife was going to be able to cope with looking after me.
They assume unless challenged, I find.
